Um, that isn't his full name.  Clearly some of you can't see the forest b/c of the trees.  Name is Chosen Sebastian Newton.  My parents too...named me with the full intention of calling me by my middle name.

Obviously his name will be need to be shortened to nickname.  So Sebastian will go by his nickname of Seabass.  In 20 years we can be cheering on our new QB with the boastful screams of...kick his ass Seabass!

The reason many of you have a problem with the name is due to our social construct.  It's funny because even though we've lost the idea of giving our children meaningful names based on what we want them to become or the circumstance they were born into, we still make a big deal out of what their name should be.  It's like celebrating a holiday while not knowing why the holiday is there in the first place.

By the way, no offense, but in my opinion, I would absolutely hate having the name Sebastian lol.  Ha, that's my social construct.  Yet with any construct, it can be changed without problem.  Chosen is a name people will grow to love.  His mama call him Chosen, Imma call him Chosen!

People don't mind people with the name Hope. To me Hope and Chosen are very similar. When someone is the chosen one,,,the masses hope the chosen one will fulfill a prophecy ;-)

I wonder what the meaning behind the name is. I'm sure Cam and Kia have some special meaning behind naming him "Chosen Sebastian" and I also wonder what the nickname will be. Surprised he didn't go with a junior.
