Man,  I remember that draft night.  I loved that the Hornets showed some cajones and drafted someone with the potential to be great.  I was so disappointed when the trade was announced.  No Vlade,  American girls still don't like your face.

Unfortunately it was all set up before the draft. It's not like we drafted Kobe with the intent of actually having him be a Hornet. He was always gonna be a Laker.

I was at the Charlotte Hornets game and it was AWESOME!! ..they put Luke up on the big screen at the end....Kuwann Short was there along with Funchess..

Kobe is one of my favorite players and the entire arena was rooting for Kobe  as most of the fans concentrated on him...as a Panthers fan its good to know he has been following their success and was able to light a fire again in Harper..

They should have him come beat the drum in our first division games..

Thanks.  Lol it only took nearly 2 hours but someone finally commented about the actual article with Kobe and the Panthers rather than what happened 20 years ago with the Hornets... like that hasn't already been discussed ad nauseam before over in the Hornets forum

I mean it's a feel good article about how he met up with some of our players and provided some inspirational words, what it meant to them and instead everybody talking about draft night 2 decades ago
