Game Flexed To 4:25

I would prefer Seattle be the 5 seed.  It is unlikely any of those three best them but Cousins is definitely playing better than Bridgewater and Rodgers.  Plus, if Seattle is the 5 and the road team from GB/Minny wins the we play them as the 6 seed and Arizona gets stuck with Seattle.

ok this is driving me crazy...so with Seattle loss yesterday it looks like they will be 6 seed?....and that is not what we want because they likely to come here?...I was thinking if they got 5 seed that was more likely

what seed do we want seattle to be if we want them to go to Arizona?

The NFL re-seeds, so if  Seattle (or anybody) is the six seed and they win they will travel to Charlotte.

If Seattle is the five seed and they beat Washington then it will depend on the result of the 3-6 game.  If the home team wins then Seattle comes here, if the road team wins then Seattle goes to Arizona.

The only way Seattle is the 5 now though is if they beat Arizona and GB beats Minnesota.  I am not anticipating Seattle beating Arizona though because they really have nothing to play for (we saw that effect yesterday) while Arizona is playing for a shot at the #1 seed.  Plus, the Cards just look better right now.

So it looks like Seattle will travel to Minny-GB and if they win they will come here.

ok thanks

all bets are off now regarding the Seahawks after yesterday...so maybe they not as scary...and who says they go on road and beat Minnesota?...GB looks awful lately...so only team that worries me is Cards

maybe we get it going again by NFCCG

I would not put too much stock into StL beating Seattle.  The Rams always play them tough and they had nothing to play for.  Anybody game between Carolina-Arizona-Seattle will be a battle that will take a lot out of the winner.

Minnesota and Green Bay suck IMO.  Outside of Cousins current form there really is nothing from the rest of the NFC that can compete with the main three and he is not enough.

Too bad one of us is not in the AFC with the Patriots to balance things out.

With Lynch and Rawls out, Seattle has no run game to speak of.  Their backs managed about 30 yards total yesterday against a team that had been giving up a lot of rushing yards in its previous games.

You might be right about Stl, but if Lynch is not back in time for the Arizona game, I don't see the game being all that close.  Seattle needs a balanced offense.

Fortune shines upon us.  The Falcons loss will absolutely 100% have been better for us if it

a) Gets the team's attention and wakes them up, instead of these near misses

b) slots Minny in the 5th seed slot.

As mediocre as we looked today, we would absolutely, positively 100% not lose to a Redskins or Vikings team at BOA in the divisional.

Not so fast. The skins are playing with confidence right now and their defense is not that bad. We aren't playing as good as we were the last time we played them. No one will be a push over for us in the playoffs.

I agree Arizona should spank them this week.  Arizona I playing for home field and Seattle is playing for nothing.  Playoffs will be a different story.  I would pick the Cards but none of these three teams will be an easy out.

Does Seattle have anything to play for against Arizona? Do they gain anything with a win?

You can guarantee a SB trip in another thread but can't figure out that a Seattle win combined with a GB win slots Seattle into the 5th seed. So yes Seattle wants to win on Sunday.

If Seattle loses to AZ, I think Minnesota is better off resting players and taking the 5th seed and traveling to Washington versus winning the division and having to play Seattle at home.

No.  I mean they could get the five seed if GB beats Minnesota but they are on the road either way.  I really do not see it as a motivation

ok, I was wondering what it would take for Seattle to be the 5th seed.

Is a wildcard seeding matchup that big of deal to risk player injuries... I know it means a 5 or 6 seed but how relevant is that

I bet Seattle is confident going just about anywhere and they've proven they can win in the playoffs but a win would then guarantee them either a trip to Washington or a trip to Minnesota and eliminates the possibility of going to GB.

Now is eliminating the possibility of going to GB worth playing your starters for? That's some Pete Carroll can only answer but considering they lost up there is year already my guess would be yes

    • Film Room Playlist _ NFL Pro — Mozilla Firefox 2024-11-25 10-20-11.mp4 🎯🎯🎯 There were a couple of "fans" yesterday saying that this wasn't a helmet-to-helmet shot... 👀 Looks like based on where Moore was and where the play ended, he'd have gotten maybe just a yard or two more. Chuba was downed at the KC 16 and Moore was on his way back to the QB, so the offense got what they could for the most part. After reviewing the all-22, Bryce made the right call here. Tremble was the hot and KC sent both LBs. He gets it out with a clear pocket but it's quickly collapsing. If there was a little more time it looked like AT came free at the end but whether or not Bryce would've been upright still is another story. Smart move to get the completion and keep the field goal in play to stay alive. George Karlaftis is about to get himself a big ole hug and Bryce heaves it to where David Moore is going. Trent McDuffie slipped just a step or two before this shot, but we can see the clear DPI here as he's wrapped around David Moore before knocking him over as the ball gets there.
    • I’m taking a TE early day 3 Ian Thomas and Tremble are FA.  We should have no desire to bring them back.   There’s more than enough film of ball bouncing off their hands or facemask.
    • Daniel Jones sometimes would sling it for 300 or 400 yards.  That's my stance.  We know what Bryce is.  If you consistently play any QB at this level, they largely are going to end up w/ some good days/games.  last time Mahomes was at BOA, Teddy Bridgwater threw for 300+ yards and a couple TDs and the Matt Rhule Panthers almost took him down.  We know what Bryce is.  Now we got people predictably falling into a predictable trap.
