Feel like we were exposed, not a real thread - talk me down

All the other big teams crapping the bed today made me feel much better about this lose.  Honestly, I am not even upset about it.  All great teams have crappy games from time to time.  I think going 14-0 gave some people very unreasonable expectations.  Regardless of what you think about the falcons, they actually do have a good offense ( they just have trouble with turnover's and scoring in the redzone probably because of all the turnover's ) and their defense is actually pretty decent.

We made fools of them in our last meeting, came into this game thinking it was an automatic win and we got punched right in the mouth.  It honestly could have been much, much worse but we ended up losing by 7 points.  Some of you act as if we lost by 60...gesh.  This is the NFL...sometimes you will lose to teams you shouldn't have...it happens and it has happened to every single team this year ( including us now )

With that said.  Seattle Lost, Patriots Lost, Pittsburgh Lost, Greenbay Lost and to top it all off....Cinncinati or Denver will also lose on Monday.  Seattle lost to the freakin Rams and they are supposed to be the hot team in the NFC?  Patriots Lost to the Jets.......really.  Pittsburgh is supposed to be hot right now and lost to the Ravens who have 3/4 of the team on IR?  Really.

So seriously....gtfo it.  Move on and get ready to buckle up for next week.

No pass rush from DE's, slants and quick passes kIll us and always have, older players at one corner and safety spot are slow. Don't let the rose colored glasses crowd fool you. What you see with your eyes is what our situation is. We are still a very good team, but we have our issues.

Also to add in, any possible let down that Arizona possibly would have went out the window when we lost, it opened a slim hope for them to be the #1 seed, it'll be interesting to see how they play next week with a fired up Seattle team coming in.

The team just looked exhausted yesterday. Dejected would probably be a better word to use.

16-0 wins you absolutely nothing. I can only imagine how mentally exhausting 16-0 might get as well you're constantly every other teams Super Bowl.

The loss was good, this team can now just play football again. Have to come out strong against TB as the bye week after that is something that worries me.

With all that said, there are some serious holes on this team and have been for some time. Yesterday all those weaknesses were exposed at once which resulting in a ugly result.

I really think the bye week will be a boon for this team. With the increased veteran experience, 2 playoff appearances under the belts of the younger players, and the 'can't win after a bye week' monkey off their backs I'm not nearly as concerned about a bye week 'let down' this year.

Agreed.  We do have some older guys starting on this team, especially on defense.  The week 5 bye was a million years ago for most of them.

We need to get up early on the Bucs, close the game out, and get these guys some rest.  I want homefield badly, but we also need to win that first game for it to matter.

Two bad games in a row. Blowing a 20 plus point lead last week and getting beat this week.. We are still suspect after a bye, this team has epic Cardinals/Delhomme type playoff loss written all over it.. Buckle up, that divisional game could be ugly

get the fug out of here

"Fired up"?

Isn't this the same Seattle team that just lost to the QB-less Rams at home, as well as the Cardinals several weeks ago, at home?

Exactly that one.  We just lost to a struggling falcons team that we just throttled a few weeks ago and the situation is very similar to the one the falcons had.  Seattle is a division foe playing to get a better seed and opponent in round 1 of the playoffs (forecast for the wildcard weekend in Minneapolis and Green bay has highs between 20 and 25 degrees, vs Washington having a high in the mid 40's), and they were embarrassed a few weeks back at home vs the cards and just lost at home yesterday, oh and their QB has been on fire lately.  Arizona will get everything they can handle on Sunday.

I hear ya.

But Seattle was whuppin up on a lot of scrub teams with poor defenses. As soon as they play a good DL, they revert back to being crappy (with Wilson scurrying around like a Hamster) again.

Remember, this team has 6 losses, and may have 7 losses after the weekend, with some lingering key injuries.

Nothing to be scared of if they come to BOA.

If the Panthers ever lost that game, it would be their own insecurities and issues IMO.
