Was this Luke's worst game as a Panther?

You could argue that Luke had the worst game of his career today and I'm pissed he struggled as bad as he did (he had help from basically everyone in that regard), but something else needs to be considered.

Blitzing CBs and safeties to generate a pass rush requires the LBs to spend more time in coverage, since God forbid our DL (minus KK) be bothered to generate a pass rush.

Part of what we saw today was what happens when you put a LB on WR for too long, and part of it was what happens when Luke has an awful performance per his standards. Maybe part of it was me getting a Luke sweater too. God damn it.

Good coverage on Julio but that was just a great play.

I don't fault Luke on that Julio TD.  Julio is one of the best receivers in the league and the fact that he was even that close to him that far down the field was pretty good.  

That said, I don't think we need to have Luke defending the other team's best receiver that far down the field.

That's where I am on it. He blew it for sure, but should he have been in position to blow it? No, one of our pieces of toast defensive backs should've been there

You guys won't give any pie for this post, but we lost today because of the awful play of Luke Kuechly and Thomas Davis. They were the #1 culprits. I know, right? I'm just as perplexed as you are. Luke turned into the bad version of AJ Klein today.

Besides the obvious whiff on Freeman, horrible horse collar tackle on Jones, and burned to a crisp by Jones (okay that last one is to be expected), his audibles didn't work and he was out of position multiple times on 3rd down. So weird.

People always break out these stupid ass posts when a great player has a bad game and is criticized for it. Not one single person in this thread thinks Kuechly sucks and shouldn't be extended. Trying to shift blame by exaggerating what we're saying is silly. Luke was GARBAGE today as was TD (and the great majority of the team), don't make excuses for him.

Eh, the Buffalo game in 2013 was worse. Nothing he did in this game directly cost us a win. We had two chances at the end and failed both times.

Defense only gave up 20 points today. Lack of offense lost this game today.
