  1. 1. Will Ted Ginn reach 1,000 yards?

We are two games from the end of the NFL season. Ted Ginn his 43-730-10 line have helped us to reach 14-0. He needs 270 yards to reach 1,000 on the season, or 135 per game. this would require Ted to have his best two games of his career. His closest effort was a 120 yard effort two weeks ago versus Atlanta.

What do you guys think? i think its possible, but not likely. Our offense doesnt lend itself to such numbers, even though our passing game seems much improved this season.

it sucks that Ted has dropped so many long TDs or he would be significantly closer if not already past 1k.

I don't think he will. If he didn't have all those drops though, he would be a lot closer.

if he didn't have those drops he'd be leading the NFL in TDs this year, maybe yards too.

but if he didn't have drop problems he'd never have made it to the Panthers. he'd probably still be in MIA, or have gone some place on a huge fa contract.

we take the good with the bad with him, and in his two years here, his good has outweighed his bad.

He'll probably play only one half next week unless we lose this one and ARZ wins.  I see next week as a preseason game kinda setup.

see my above comment. Riverboat has already said that he wont rest starters in games of value. the only way the starters will be rested is if BOTH the Panthers and Cardinals lose. in that situation, we would have home-field clinched, but wouldnt be fighting for a perfect season in week 17.

its a simple formula: if we win this weekend in Atlanta, then the Panthers starters will play the entire game in week 17, unless we are up 28+ on Tampa midway through the 4th.

Yes, he can... if you count rushing yards. He's at 790 counting those, and with the rate we are targeting it is not impossible he could get 1,000 rushing + receiving yards.

this is a great point. if you add his return yards, he is already over 1000 yards.

but if we are just counting offensive yards, 105 per game is alot more believable than 135.
