Gotta admit that's a beautiful anus

Doesn't Mercedes Benz already has the naming rights to the aints dome? Greedy bastards lol

rumor is that they'll drop the Superdome branding when that term expires.  Benz' new US corporate HQ is being built in Atlanta.

how much are the good people of Atlanta paying for this 'awesome' place, that most will never be allowed into?

more than they should, plus the city had to pay off two historic Black churches for their land for around $35m total-ish.

My hope for BOA is that when it does come time to renovate that they do just that -- there's no land to rebuild/relocate the stadium in uptown, is there?  What, the other side of the train tracks?

It could probably be built where the practice fields are right now and the team would have to use temporary practice fields elsewhere while it was being built then have new practice fields built where BoA is.

Either that or tear BoA down, build a new stadium at the same site and play at Clemson again which is definitely not ideal.

I think a full scale renovation is more likely than building a brand new stadium, but there are options to stay in uptown if they choose to go that route.

Green Bay was able to retrofit/expand their existing stadium.

I'm not a fan of teams/owners building new stadiums for the sake of building a new stadium. There really was nothing wrong with Georgia Dome AFAIK - to say it doesn't meet the team's needs after just 20 years-ish is a total crock.

Was lack of luxury suits an issue for the Georgia Dome? I honestly can't remember, but that is usually the primary reason for wanting a new stadium because that is where the big money is. GB has three levels of suites surrounding the entire stadium so that wasn't a problem for them. Luckily, BoA does not have that problem since there are a bunch and they have great amenities as well.

I hope Cam doesn't leave after 2020 season, still so far away, but damn I can't see him not playing for his hometown team for at least a season

Theres tons of players who don't play for their hometown team.
