Oh...and it's not Xmas either.

Call it Christmas or don't call it anything.

O.K.... it's history lesson time!

The X in XMAS is X, not from the English Alphabet, but from the ancient Greek Alphabet- X, or Chi.... which was a fairly common abbreviation for Kristos, which was a translation of Christ, as in Jesus Christ. The same is true for the Roman alphabet- Xpistos (Χριστος) = Christ.

XMas----Christ mas.. its just an abbreviation... with no loss in meaning.
