When Japan attacked, it was sensationalized by our media and figureheads that Hitler was behind the act of terrorism (without too much effort to the masses -- the public had assumed Hitler was behind the attacks just like Saddam was apparently connected to the 9/11 attacks) when in reality he never even discussed the concept with Japan's officials in charge of it.
