Josh Norman and Graham Gano

My belief is Norman had best be on his best behavior from now to when the Panthers ride is over or he is going to cost this team with personal fouls and.or an ejection

listening to NFL radio on the road back to NC was pretty enlightening today with what will be tolerated and what will not on the go forward

there was also discussion of Panthers weakness and sloppiness on Special Teams and that Gano in his career has had 11 kicks blocked. I believe they said 4 this year and that the next closest kicker was 3 blocked in a season. I have not fact checked this on stat checker yet but whatever the issue is, best get corrected before the playoffs

I feel like Norman used to be 1 play away from ejection but he's come a long way.

Says a lot to me that he slowed his role once the coaches spoke to him.   And I don't fault him at all for going bizerk after the helmet to helmet.   I'd have blanked too and tried to severely put that guy away for trying to end my career.

Not worried about Norman. He's an intelligent guy, and he knows eyes are on him now. Either way, his teammates, and the coaches will be there to support him.

Special teams however has been in need of improving going back at least to last season. Not sure there is much we can do about it other than try to mask that deficiency as much as possible. But it's getting to the point that I nearly have to close my eyes every time we line up for a kick.

none of these things are norman's or gano's fault

At least one of the blocks was Gano's fault. He hit one practically into the helmets of the line. I also felt at the time his kick against the Giants was a little low at the time, but that might have just been due to how close DRC got to him.

Ridiculous how OBJ did all that stuff and not get tossed yet Luke threw off someone on top of him last year which just happened to be a ref (that he didnt know who it was) and he got thrown for it, madness

He didn't even throw someone off of him. He jerked his arm away from someone pulling it and the ref got butthurt and abused his power because he thinks that somehow makes him "bigger"

Norman's actions from here on out will likely be under a microscope as should Beckham's.   What was tolerated up to this point in an attempt to get into opponents heads and under their skin will likely now result in penalty flags.

Not a big deal for the Giants as the likelihood of them making the playoffs is slim and none.

Big deal for Norman, who will now have to restrain himself and his mouth or risk hurting the team with game changing penalties or possibly an ejection.

Special teams needs to figure out what our opponents are keying on before the playoffs or their failure to prevent blocked kicks may very well cost the Panthers a Super Bowl championship.
