The play that Odell beckwomen hit Norman with his helmet, it was after all the cheap shots he was getting away with my pushing Norman's in the face mask or launching into his helmet either with is shoulder or helmet, so Norman defends it on that play by countering it , then Norman breaks away and goes to where the play is at, that is when beckwomen targeted Norman with the cheap shot, the Arthur  totally leaves out those critical facts

Norman was running away from Odell McSorely tracking a run play. Odell McSorely led with a punch to the throat. He is lucky he only got tossed for that garbage. Odell McSorely has been attacking the head (face, neck, mouth) of many DBs in the NFL. He just finally ran into the DB that challenged him on it. He loves to punch the back of DBs helmets on running plays.

All the other DBs who have faced Odell were cheering Norman without a doubt.

32 minutes ago, King said:

A lion doesn't concern himself with the opinions of sheep, George.

I was thinking as if read his comments that it's a highly unusual position from Martin.  In Martin's most we'll know series of novels, the weak die off,  the strong aren't always the good guys, and that the worst of humanity often have the power over the perceived good guys

Fact: OBJ went crazy. The Panthers got into his head early.  The media has also gone crazy spinning this story and making the Panthers villains. I doubt the Panthers are the first players to ever insult Beckham. He went nuts,  lost his composure, and should have been ejected. Haven't heard about Normandy Fine yet,  but I'm betting it's much less than Beckham's.

In a week,  the world will forget about Norman. Instead, the story will continue to be OBJ's attitude problems and how we hurt his team.

The only thing I will say is that you have to separate the first quarter from the rest of the game. After the first quarter players were warned as were coaches. Players were talked to. Norman heeded that and dialed it back while OBJ if anything retailiated more as he saw Josh not going after him as much.. Its like now he could cheap shot him given Norman was paying attention to the coach and OBJ if anything got worse. So for me the whole Norman started it doesn't ring true given that OBJ kept it up despite continued warnings while Josh dialed it back and listened to what he was told. It wasn't the fact they started chippy but that Beckham took every opportunity to cheap shot him when he wasn't looking that after that was why one got suspended and the other didn't.

" JOSH NORMAN STARTED IT"

He's using the classic "the one who smelt it, dealt it" excuse.

He's using the "women shouldn't dress provocatively if they don't want to be raped" excuse.

Maybe GRRM should read this piece -- http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/football/giants/myers-odell-beckham-study-lawrence-taylor-article-1.2473415 -- about how OBJ should be idolizing Lawrence Taylor and following his lead, an article written by a NY reporter, by the way.  Some of the highlights:

Lawrence Taylor was a train wreck away from game day with his drinking and drug use and wild lifestyle, but on Sundays he never did anything to hurt the Giants by getting into fights or putting himself ahead of the team.

That’s a serious game day lesson to be learned for Odell Beckham Jr.

Beckham is so immensely gifted, it’s scary to think about the numbers he can put up over a 12-year career. LT is the most talented player in Giants history, was voted the second greatest player in NFL history last year in a Daily News poll, but you never saw him completely lose his mind and hurt his team on the field like Beckham did Sunday with three personal fouls that could have been six.

Did Norman get it started by body slamming Beckham on the first series? It appears that way. But then Beckham spent the first three quarters trying to get even.

Just a thought, isn't it Norman's job to keep Beckham from catching the ball???  If that means making him mad or pissing him off to the point where he is not thinking about catching the ball but about beating up Norman isn't that Norman doing his job???  Maybe this is not football anymore.  I feel confused.

Yea, two blatantly fictitious parts to his main points: on the spear play Norman slapped the back of his shoulder pads in a swim move, and on the first altercation beckham started it with a forearm to the throat followed by a flop/hug that Norman participated in by dropping him as he walked forward (a slightly aggressive move that would have been justifiably penalized as part of a double penalty with the forearm to the throat if the officials had chosen to go that route). And that, Mr. Martin, is reality not fiction.
