I honestly dont see OBJ getting suspended..when Burfict was caught on video twisting BOTH Cam and Olsen's ankles last year all he got was a fine..

NFL got a primetime game set up..too much money..OBJ will be there..

yep, and Burfict wasn't liked and deemed one of the dirtiest in the NFL.

OBJ is a league marketing tool and they have a prime time game this weekend to keep their playoff hopes alive.  They won't suspend OBJ.  They will fine him and THEN give Norman a slightly smaller one than OBJ got.

Giants changing narrative.

OBJ will be a victim of sorts.

NFL will factor in the PR move by the major market team.

Result?  OBJ will play in prime time this weekend.  He will get fined.  So then will Norman.

Whatever it takes.  Giants would leak whatever storyline is needed to get the NFL to debate not suspending OBJ.  Doesn't matter how true it is.  This is big $.

I hope he gets suspended but if not? The damage has been done. He was exposed yesterday and his rep has taken a MASSIVE hit. Gonna take some time for him to live this down. And if he does it again? Geez

Panthers are going on record that they think it's bullshit:

Panthers communications director Steven Drummond said: "absolutely nothing happened on the sideline. I was there. No one was threatened...

Drummond went on to say: "no one was threatened with a bat. It didn't happen. It's a diversionary tactic and a good one at that."

It matters because they could end up suspending both of them and if they say they have proof of the bat and taunts (dont even need to prove it to accomplish the goal of doing it) Norman could get suspended even longer then OBJ.

I would hope that the NFL is smarter than to think that Josh was threatening anyone with a bat. To me, if you see photos of them with the bats prior to yesterday's game and have no proof of verbal threat, it's irrelevant. So what if someone points a bat at you, doesn't mean anything except, "I'm coming to knock your jock off". Everyone is too soft, like it's murder for having a chip on your shoulder

OK. Playing devil's advocate. Let's say they WERE taunting the Giants players and swinging the bat towards them... It still doesn't mean they had the bat in play during the game or anything. How in the world does the pre-game taunting justify OBJ's launch toward Josh's head with his helmet during the game after the play was over??

This entire situation is weird. If the bat was used to threaten anyone It really bothers me. There is no reason for it. It's an ugly look for our franchise for no reason. If the bat was used for motivational purposes, find a better way to motivate yourself. How does a baseball bat even clear security at an NFL game? I don't care if it was in the possession of players. They are football players not baseball players.
