Zod what is this black bat nonsense?

No one is going to understand the bat and no one in the media is going to talk about the DB's doing it symbolically. I do have an issue with them being childish and pointing it at Beckham in a threatening way. It's uncalled for. The other tid bit I heard on the Eisen Show from Dion Sanders was that there were "slurs about OBJ's sexuality" and "how he wears his hair". "There were threats that people were going to try to take him out and his career was going to be ended today".

All of those are direct quotes and if true I am extremely disappointed. It doesn't excuse OBJ from spearing Josh's helmet but it surely doesn't make Josh seem like an innocent bystander.

In fairness, "you ghey as fcuk" is as old a taunt as competitive sports. It attacks a man's manhood. And it apparently worked.

Secondly, if you think a single player in a Ron Rivera led locker room would threaten to end a player's career, much less a group of players all threatening it, well that is just laughable.

like most things in sports....the bat motivational tool is not a unique thing Carolina thought up.

Saints and Cardinals have used it recently too per Saints beat writer.

But this is the 2015 Panthers where everything is a controversy.  Watch our media help pour gas on an ember and run w/ this bad boy.

As I said, "if true". Ultimately there won't be a way to prove it unless some NFL camera's caught it but the fact it's out there is disturbing enough. OBJ should've let it all go regardless but his mental fortitude was challenged against the Jaguars early in the year and he is a bit weak.

If a couple of guys calling names prior to the game caused OBJ to completely lose his poo and punch people and try to literally knock them out of the game... then he needs some anger counseling.

But I'm with Monsta, RR doesn't seem like a coach that would put up with that kind of busch league nonsense.  I think that all of this is spin so that they don't have to admit that OBJ is fuging insane.

Mine wasn't necessarily directed at you personally, even though worded that way. More people in general. My bad.

In pregame warmups, at least one Panthers official, and possibly more, carried black baseball bats on to the field and were motioning with them towards Odell Beckham Jr. while making comments to him, per a league source. Norman later grabbed the black bat and was swinging it in pregame warmups – which, by the way, an NFL Films camera captured. Beckham, according to another source, felt threatened and it helped put him in a certain frame of mind. It does not excuse what he did during the course of the game, but it does explain what led up to the battle that still is the talk of the league today.

Total BS, unless he really is a Puss!

Bene, carried a bat not too long ago, and know one cared.

Hopefully, Ron doesn't go under fire for this, if the NY Media decides to blow this up in defense of Golden Boy.
