NFL Discussing OBJ punishment today

We will see if the rubber meets the road for the league on this - that helmet to helmet headhunting move was a concussion or worse in the making - OBJ could have broken his own neck with that stupid move.  If they practice what they preach on concussion prevention, he should be suspended at least one game if not more.

In the same vein, the refs should be suspended the rest of the season.  Their abysmal failure to get this under control early could have resulted in someone getting concussed or even a neck broken (OBJ's).  I have never seen a crew so reluctant to do something about such a blatant effort to be a punk on the field.

If they suspend both rather than just Odell, there's a clear bias towards NY and Odell. They'd be doing it just so Odell doesn't look like the 100% bad guy here.

I agree. There is a massive difference between anything Josh did and Odell launching himself at Josh's head helmet first. If there's any justice in the NFL, it'll be a fine for Josh and a fine + suspension to Odell. 

I think it's not just about sending a message about safety, it's also sending a message to "superstars" that they aren't immune to discipline.

Sportscenter is reporting that Beckham "likely" to be suspended a game.  However, he can appeal and will be allowed to play until the appeal I'd heard.

I'm betting he will either sit week 1 2016, or get it reduced to a fine on appeal.
