Gross places blame on O-line

It was a cream... not pills

This is elementary pee-wee football here... with that formation, you can still rush up the middle or bounce it out to the sides, still pass to your WR with a good amount of Play Action going on, and still have those TEs go out in the flats for short dumpoffs if the blitz doesn't come.

Coaches? Hello? Please wake the F up now!

Its funny how easy it is for other teams' isn't it.

We could not load up and blitz because of those 'slant passes' remember.

...and yet, a 3 step drop and throw to big body muhammed or a swing pass to a back, well, that's just an impossible call.

You now things that don't take, oh 4-6 seconds to develop.

Sometimes, I just want to cry.

I still can't understand how it was the OLine's fault when the coaches didn't adjust for blitz packages of 9 guys attacking the gaps. How are 5 guys supposed to block for 9 rushers? It's simple.. run a two TE set the rest fo the game.. put King on the LTE and Barnidge on the RTE, and have them keep the Guards from getting to Jake up the middle like that.

I gave up on this last night. Mostly everyone was throwing blame on Jake and the o-line and I didn't see it. Sorry but what I saw was not the o-lines fault. Coaching, yes. Horrible play at the QB position, yes. RB, TE and FB not picking up biltzers, yes. The o-line did the best job possible given the situation they were in. When a defense can be successful to the extent the Eagles were yesturday no offensive line is going to protect and open holes by themselves.

"I love that guy," said Gross. " He was one of the main reasons I wanted to re-sign here because I love blocking for him and he’s our quarterback. I told him because I knew what happened, that it wasn’t even half on him -- less than half should've been.

How many times does one of his teammates have to say that about him before you Jake-haters understand that he brings much more to the table than his arm?

non of the Jake haters say he is a poor locker room leader or a bad teammate. Jake is a likeable guy....In those aspects, he is just about as good as it gets.......but that isn't enough. I think most Jake haters like a lot of what he brings to the table....he just can't get it done on the field.

"read the field and make adjustments:"

This line has been thrown around a lot since Sunday. Am I the only that understands in order for a QB to do that he needs TIME. More than 1.5 seconds. It takes about 2 seconds to read the field and pass when u have a wide open receiver, when u don't...that is when the O Line needs to come through and give the QB an opportunity to do that especially when you have a true pocket QB like Jake or Brady.

Jake is not Mcnabb or Vick. How often have you seen him run around and make great passes in the past? Like never. I don't understand why all of a sudden some of you expect him to do that. He's old school always has been, and the days when he has shined was always thanks to the O line protecting him long enough to make plays and long enough for our ONE receiver to get open.

That did not happen yesterday but most people have that typical mob mentality of putting someone;s head on a stick and honestly I think the head should belong to someone else, not Jake.

And it wasn't just passing that was affected on Sunday. The O line was so bad we couldn't even run the damn ball. Now I don't know why anyone is surprized that when a team shuts down our running game we lose.....thats only happened just about every time an opponent has done that to us and that believe it or not has everything to do with John Fox.

That's the way he built this team. He built it one dimensional and we're just getting exposed. The reason its so much worse now than before is because in today's football passing has become even more important and Fox keeps going the other way. Teams have gotten even better at stopping the run especially physical teams like Philly.

    • A lot of regular people would like nothing better than this. Can you give me a hand with it? I've been following it for a couple of years now. In this installment, I'm going to share a couple of things that I imagine are essential to a no-win situation. That is probably worth the price of admission by itself. Believe me, I have a really great reputation. It is much more than that shift in this case. It is air tight. There aren't any quick alternatives to that diversity. Do not take that action seriously. In spite of that, I trust them as far as I can throw them. Your knockoff Immediate Matrix choices are more common today. I was worried before that. • Yeah exactly. Nothing as formal as a list but say DM was advocating for Stroud and Fitt Bryce. DM Puka and Fitt Mingo. That would probably stick with Tepp
    • Canales not having experience with College QBs shouldn’t matter. A QB is a QB. Say he can only work with already NFL QBs is not a trait I want in a HC and would be damning.  For me it is Ward over Sanders. So I would hope that is who they aim for and we can an avoid the potential drama drafting Sanders may bring. But I have been impressed with Sanders play, too bad about that attitude.    But if Bryce continues to improve this may be a moot point.
