For those saying we don't get respect...

At the beginning of the season, which aspect would have you more surprised?

That the Panthers lead the league in scoring offense at 31.6 per game?  And avg 30.8 On the Road?

I'm still surprised by our offense.  It's so hard to get used to these Panthers' scores of 27+ every week for months... 44, 41, 38... wow!

We don't get respect though, especially Cam.

Read the comments. I was being nice when using stats to compare Wilson and Cam and the response I got was:

" U R About The Most Uneducated dipshit Homer I've Ever heard. Check the facts again , if ur talking numbers Wilson's are lights out th ed only other qb that has numbers comparable is palmer. Cam is white hot on gire. And having his best season ever love the gut but numbers never lie...Read a book buddy... "

Lol, don't consume yourself with fake love. Exhibit A of that is how the Giants aren't really underdogs

You just ignore the fact that the Panthers are 5 point favorites on the road and over 80% of the experts are picking them to win. I'm glad I don't live in your distorted world of Panthers hate.

Your "proof" of lack of respect is internet commenters?  If that is the case no one will ever get enough respect. You guys are really digging hard for this stuff. Guess what?  Someone not agreeing with you is not lack of respect.

In many ways you are right, but we can't ignore the love either.

Here is a quick Peter King video that echos what many of us think.

Heck, this is the first year that I have actually enjoyed First Take.

When I have seen people predict that we will lose a game, their main reason revolves more around the low probability of a team going 16-0 than us lacking talent.

There will always be haters (ESPECIALY since we are becoming perennial juggernauts) but don't miss the opportunity to bask in all the love and crow eating that is going on this season. It is glorious.

This season is like Bizzaro World!!!!

I know. It's certainly an upside down NFL world when First Take and Peter King love us, and Elliot Harrison picks against us almost every week. I used to like him because he'd actually be reasonable with the Panthers. But he's pissed me off this season picking against us almost every week.

I gotta say though I don't think our WR core is the worst in the game. It might seem like that but the guys we have all have something they can bring to the table.

Ginn is a pretty incredible deep threat, Funchess is a talented rookie in development, Brown has speed and is a good route runner. Cotchery is a veteran safety valve for Cam. Definitely not the best in the game but this group coupled with Olsen is at least formidable. They are at least proving to be good enough for Cam. He is definitely elevating everyone's game.

The stats say that KC, Buffalo, Dallas, San Fran, Minny, aND St. Louis all have worse passing games than us in yardage. We are 14th in plays of 20+ yards. We are tied with Green Bay and the Giants at 5th in the league with 28 passing touchdowns. We are tied with 5 other teams for 12th in fewest interceptions (6 off the pace set by KC who only has 4 ints). Finally, we are tied with the Bucs for 10th in sacks allowed with 24.

Just adding statistical background to the convo. I think to say that our passing game is either extreme is faulty logic. Our offense is helped tremendously by its defense and the yardage shows. But when we have the ball, our passing offense turns it into points. Bigger than that though, is that our offense (Cam) is playing smart and not turning the ball over. I don't have access to catch % on catchable passes, but I think that may be where we see our corps hinder us most.
