Nice article on Kelvin Benjamin and his bittersweet season

The real challenge, Kelvin Benjamin learned quickly and almost cruelly, comes on game days. As the party rages on in Carolina this season, and the undefeated Panthers turn the league into their own personal showcase, Benjamin watches it all unfold from the best, most bittersweet, seat in the house.

So close, and yet so far. That’s the stark reality the second-year Carolina receiver faces these days, after his late-training camp ACL injury rendered him a spectator for the NFL's success story of the year. Benjamin isn’t just missing a season, he’s missing the magic carpet ride of a lifetim

I thought this was a nice article. I feel for Kelvin, I am sure he is wanting to be a bigger part of this. Next year will be another amazing year, I think. but we gotta get through this one first!!

Yeah, it sucks to say it, but if this season goes the way we all think and ends with a Super Bowl, we'll have to deal with the reality of a hangover. I wanna believe our guys would continue to stay focused but every year things happen. Guys get too entitled or full of themselves. Teams underachieve. Look at Seattle. Last year they found the fire to get back to the super bowl but look at the players wanting new deals, and all that stuff. If it happened there, it can happen here too. If we go all the way this year we'll need guys like kelvin to be hungry and to keep the team focused to make this a dynasty.

I see what you are saying, but I don't really see the hangover happening with this team. They really seem to have bought in on the team concept, and from the outside looking in (but not as far outside as the media), it seems that they would not have problems with getting too entitled or full of themselves. I think a lot of that has to do with RR not letting them get that way. Of course there will be some turn over, but for the most part next year's team will be the same guys, with KB and draft picks.

The future does indeed look bright in Carolina.

I don't see it -maybe I'm a pessimist .... But one of the things I have learned is that nothing in life is going to be problem free.

Maybe be it's fine though I have enjoyed some success, despite serbacks and I see an attitude here that reflects the keep pounding atmosphere. It's well within reach of a bright future, but problems will happen. Success comes "in spite of"

I can see why you would feel that way, based on history. But, as an eternal optimist, I just feel like this team is different. Something intangible. The way they are doing everything as a team, interacting more with the fans. To a man, they talk about how special this team is, and even the new guys, Finnegan for example, "Get it." It is something that we as fans have not seen before. I just think it is going to be a fun ride, and the organization is building something unique and powerful, that is built to last.

My favorite part. After KB was having hammy troubles, and Rivera said that maybe it was his weight. KB came to Training Camp in the best shape of his life. No one could cover him. Not even Norman. If KB uses that same drive and desire from missing this season, and comes in next year like he did this year. He just may be something special. That is something I can get behind.

I can't wait to see what KB brings next year. Giddy the fug up.
