Charles Tillman dealing with partially torn ACL

Sucks about Tillman, I thought it might be something more serious than they were letting on since he's missed so much time.  Outside of Josh Norman it's just a bunch of practice squad guys and dudes that weren't even on a roster Week 1.  That makes me nervous....

You are freaking nuts if you think Bene being injured means that 1/3 of our defensive playbook is scrapped......hilarious.

Considering we're without Tillman and Bene' plus having Shaq and Klein split their time covering the midfield, I think it will limit our d-play calling quite a bit.

So Finnegan is going from sitting on the couch to starting for the undefeated Panthers in 2 weeks.

The good news is that our reserves have gotten on-field experience due to some blowouts throughout the season. So I'm less concerned about Finnegan that no am about Jones, who has shown he is pretty awful (no disrespect, just observation and critically viewing of his on-field performance...or lack thereof.)

Is that true? Not that I'm gender. Oases when it comes to talking dports, but people suddenly turn into "tough guys" when they get their egos behind a computer screen.

Haha yeah it is true. I was shocked when it was revealed in another thread. She brings great insight and knowledge with the stats to back it.

Jus wanted to make sure you knew your homie's gender :)

yeah it's true.  I'm one of those weird & rare stat geek and football loving females... I fessed up a few days ago on another thread.  But I'm having fun hanging with the guys, and y'all can still call me dude.  I take it as a compliment.  LOL.

He's been out a month already, and there's 4 weeks until our first playoff game. I'd think that would be enough time for a "partial" tear to heal.

It can take longer for a partially torn ligament to heal than a broken bone. Of course there's the question of how fully healed you have to be. I'm certainly no expert and I'm not saying that they're all the same, but I've had a partially torn thumb ligament. Partially torn meant no surgery necessary, but it was 5 months before it was back to normal and it could have taken 6.

"The prognosis for a partially torn ACL is often favorable, with the recovery and rehabilitation period usually at least three months. However, some patients with partial ACL tears may still have instability symptoms. Close clinical follow-up and a complete course of physical therapy helps identify those patients with unstable knees due to partial ACL tears."

Wheger hasn't been active all season. I would cut him in a heartbeat if I felt like Tillman could heal. The Divisional round is a full month away and he's been practicing...

Yeah I'm honestly not as worried as most people in this thread are. He has been practicing. They are saying he is close. I bet we will have him back for the playoff push. Probably before, so he isn't rusty.
