Why are we so strapped for bodies now? That's one of the benefits of starting fast is we actually do have the luxury to wait... We could tote our practice squad out there and Cam could still beat at least 2 of these last 3 bums. If there's any possibility he can be ready for divisional round why not wait.

Yes. A full tear is technically a sprain as well. Usually a sprain refers to very minor tearing where surgery is not needed, partial tear is in the middle where surgery is an option and a complete tear means surgery is required.

Iirc they have grades of sprains. 1,2,3 etc.. So is this one like a 12 or something?  I don't get it.

Wheger hasn't been active all season. I would cut him in a heartbeat if I felt like Tillman could heal. The Divisional round is a full month away and he's been practicing...

Time for some guys to keep playing well, or step it up.  Harper, Coleman, Shaq, McClain, whoever.  Keep Pounding, and don't let a decimated CB situation be the end of this.

He's been out a month already, and there's 4 weeks until our first playoff game. I'd think that would be enough time for a "partial" tear to heal.

It really sucks, but at the end of the day it doesn't make or break this team. We are only going to go as far as Cam takes us.

Everything heals slower when you're older.  Could be "healed" but still in too much pain when trying to cut, etc. and having swelling after exerting it.  Could be in position where they're worried if he does it too much it will tear completely.

For comparisons sake, Kiko Alonso missed 6 weeks with a partially torn ACL that he did not have surgery on this season so there is precedent, but everyone heals differently and Tillman being older usually slows that progress.

Very true.  But patching a secondary together this late in the season and into the playoffs could make Cam's job a lot of harder when trying to match a team like the Cardinals.
