I think that was by design based on the movie plot. You should definitely see more going forward with Ep. VIII and IX

Absolutely loved it. Saw it with my son yesterday.

There is only one nugget that is spoiler worthy, IMO. The new characters are great and gel well together on screen.

My thoughts as well, at first I was a little disappointed with how little the characters used "the force" and the fighting, but really there was only one person in this movie that had been trained, until the end.

I think that Luke is going to turn out to be crazy powerful moving forward.

Going to go watch it again tomorrow to see what all I missed.
