Star Wars: The Force Awakens (Warning: Use Spoiler Tags Please)

Seriously surprised that a thread hasn't been devoted to this movie yet. As we all know the movie comes out this Friday (technically Thursday) and there is a lot of anticipation for the movie. There are the old timers who feel there are only one trilogy (IV, V and VI), the young ones who only know CGI (I, II, III), this movie so far has been living up to both fans as per last night's movie premier in Hollywood.

Anyone going to watch the movie this opening day, weekend?

I'm going Friday night, and actually on Saturday too (because long story). I'm excited, buzz about it seems generally positive. That might just be due to fresh Star Wars or could be because it's genuinely good. 

I'm worried about Star Wars burnout that is going to be pretty much inevitable, but let it ride for now baby.

I'm going to the marathon Thursday. Not sure I'll make it through them all but I'll find out. May skip the new one since as a part of the marathon it's only shown in 3D and I hate that so will probably watch the new one on Friday with family.

I am pretty excited for it. But I've generally been avoiding almost everything about the movie itself in order not to ruin the experience too much, particularly with spoilers. Either way, I'll wait until all the craziness subsides a bit before I go see it.

Regardless, this, The Hateful Eight (going to see it on Christmas day), and The Revenant are my must see films coming up so far.

I am taking a trip to the mountains here in SoCal this weekend and there's a small movie theater with about 10 rows. I'll be watching it there I just hope the movie quality doesn't suck. 

I am excited to see the relationship between Luke and Kylo Ren in the movie. That should bridge a lot of gaps. I am also excited to see JJ Abrams vision for the movie. Interesting to know that George Lucas was basically kept out of the movie as a whole.

Prediction: This will break 1 billion in 2 weekends.

Can someone explain to me why there hasn't been a Star Wars poster featuring Luke Kuechly as Luke (easy), Cam Newton as Han Solo, and Thomas Davis (with the visor) as Darth Vader? I have been wondering this for well over a year.
