It's been known for a few days. I don't really think anyone cares other than some of the gossip type sites and they have been portraying it as "Cam is cool/a baller" rather than "Cam is a thug that needs to be watching film instead of spending time with rappers looking at dirt skanks."

That's part of my point. Cam is not Charles Barkley. He wants to be a role model. He loves the kids. Being seen in strip clubs hurts this type of work.

I personally don't like strip clubs but this is Murica. If he wants to go to a strip club he can go to the strip club. 

His behavior in those videos looks very......tame. For a strip club. Looks like he just wanted to see Rick Ross while he was in town. I would have course been worried about someone trying to start trouble like the Vick situation, Plaxico Burress, and Packman Jones to name a few. But hopefully Cam did his due diligence to make sure there would be no trouble. 

As far as the kids are concerned...Cam isn't holier than though. He talks to kids about his mistakes. He doesn't ask them to be choir boys, just grow up and be a good citizen. Strip clubs are not illegal. The only way a "kid" is finding out is if their parents show them the video. This isn't being shown on Nickelodeon.
