Isn't Norman playing out of position as a slot corner a better option on Beckham than Colin Jones?

Actually, there were at one occasion where I saw Julio Jones lined up in the slot last week with Norman manned up on him. It is doable. That is the difference between Norman and some of the other Corners. Norman is whooping dat @$$ all over the field.

Shaq Thompson and Thomas Davis need to be beating the poo out of OBJ during those first five yards. I'm talking almost drawing flags for contact. He needs to be roughed up and taken off his routes if Norman is not on him.

Norman is not suited for the slot. He plays with vision and he needs the sideline to watch the WR. OBJ may never line up out wide against us. All the top receivers in the league have gotten theirs by moving inside and running away from our linebackers and safeties. Josh could match up really well with Ruben Randall.

I understand what you are trying to do but Colin Jones has elite speed and is physical in the run game. He can play see ball, get ball. Tre Boston is more of a traditional Free Safety, more cerebral not as fast. Great hands. The problem with Colin and Tre is the same for me. They can't turn their hips and run. They need the play to be in front of them. So from that perspective it doesn't fix anything at the line of scrimmage.
