I want to get me a trip car I can take fishing and long range trips with bros.. I really like Chevy Tahoe...  Is it good?  Or any other recommendations.

whats the price range and qualifications for the vehicle you've been looking for? if it's just for space then yes.

I'm looking at a 2013 nissan xterra right now, because for the price size and off road capabilities it's pretty solid.

that will be about as good as anything then, I have a friend that has one and he likes it well enough.

Ever considered a Crew Cab f-150, it can comfortably seat 4 full size adults plus you have the pickup bed.

Yea, I was think truck but I have an office job and I won't use it much...  Figured I'd maximized on cab space.

Personally I prefer the GMC models to the Chevy, but I have an older Z71 Tahoe with over 230k miles on the original transmission and engine.

If you are going to tow much look into making sure that it has a transmission cooler....that will save you eventually.

We had an 08 Tahoe a few years ago. We liked it a lot. We got rid of it because, for an every day driver, it wasn't practical in the fuel economy department.

I would own another, though, and we might one day.

I'm actually looking at a 11-14 Yukon now, was leaning toward the Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland, but may jump back to fullsize.

You ought to look at the Avalanche, too.

I miss my '07 dearly. It went the way of our Tahoe due to gas prices.

But the back seat is plenty roomy, and you've got an actual truck bed if you need to haul anything not requiring a hitch.

One day I'll have another truck, but with two kids and times being as they are, it just isn't practical for me right now. :(

I owned a 2005 Tahoe I purchased new, loved it and traded it on a 2009 in 2010, which I still drive. The '05 had 88k on it and I got a great trade on the '09. I'm 6'6" @ 270 and it's the most comfortable vehicle I've ever driven. LTZ with every option available that year. It has 128k on it and I'm thinking of selling it in March.

I don't care about gas mileage nearly as much as comfort, but nothing really jumps out at me, so I may stay with it for a few more years. I don't like the new design at all, so a change may be necessary.

    • Losing Derrick Brown last year was devasting to the defense, however, I also think losing Luvu was too.  I like the focus on the D-line during free agency and the draft, however, I would like to see the Panthers pick up a few more LB to battle it out during camp.  I still don't think this is a position of strength.
    • NFL analysts confirm Panthers GM Dan Morgan committed draft larceny Dan Morgan had a decent collection of picks during the 2025 NFL Draft. That doesn’t always guarantee success, but the Carolina Panthers general manager emerged from his second selection process with significant credit. Morgan played his draft board masterfully. He struck with conviction when opportunities arose, and brought high-character individuals into the organization who should fit seamlessly into head coach Dave Canales’ culture shift. Each draft pick and undrafted free agent must prove themselves in an NFL setting, but fans were thrilled with the haul. (As seen on Bluesky, but those embeds aren't working here yet 🙂   _ https://bsky.app/profile/rawnfl.bsky.social/post/3lnxnosfzju2d source: https://www.rawchili.com/nfl/10067/
