Ted Ginn: I give all my success to Cam Newton

Ginn has always been eloquent in interviews. But he deserves credit. He's not the greatest catcher in the history of the league but he's up there for runners. He keeps the safeties on notice when they would dare sneak into the box on Cam. So he does make Cam better by giving our offense space.

Stewart's 44 yard run was a direct result of the Falcons keeping a safety over top of Ginn.

One thing I've notice is that these deep balls comes from multiple formations, so u never know when it's coming.

Ginn is a very class act!  Wasn't to sure about him to start with. But you tell he has put in some work to get where he is at!

I'm glad to see him recognize Cam but he was great yesterday. I had to record the game and watch it last night.

I had to keep going back and watch him run down the sidelines after that one touchdown catch!

The speed he has is unbelievable!!!

Reminds me of my youth.............when everybody else was faster then me!!!!!!

Something I noticed yesterday was that Ginn changed his catching technique for those long bombs. Before this week, Ginn always tried to catch those over his shoulder and he almost always fuged it up. This week, however, if you look at those long catches he had, he turned his body around and caught it with his hands instead of that over the shoulder crap. He caught every one of them.

I noticed that yesterday as well. I was so happy for him that he had a great game.

It would be really interesting to go back and review some of those pre-season (post KB injury) "predict our WR stats" threads.

I wonder if any of us predicted these stats for Ginn?  I don't recall.

And of course, almost all of us were VERY worried about potential offensive struggles.  Who could have imagined we'd have the #1 scoring offense as of week 14.  I'm still shaking my head.  This season truly shows that a team can be much more than the sum of its individual parts:

Ginn = not a memorably great WR.  Underperformer?.

Ginn & Cam = something special! Exceeds expectations!

I rarely predict stats for an individual player as there are so many factors which play into specific numbers as you well know.  But there were several of us who were talking up Ginn before the season started as a great pickup.  Then there were a very few of us who said that we would surely miss Benjamin but we wouldnt be as bad as everyone predicted and that our receiver corps would step us and make some plays.  When most folks said Ginn wasnt a good receiver, I know I told everyone that Ginn was better with Cam and that he would have a good year for us.  Then again I was high on Funchess and said that it would take a while but that he was going to be very good for us as well.

So yeah some of us predicted that Ginn would have a good year for us and be very productive.  Then again I think that I was the only person who told everyone that Shula had the potential to be very good if he had the people to run his system.  He did me one better by doing what most said he couldnt which was build the system around the people he had, in particular Cam Newton and Jonathan Stewart.

Just giving Ted Ginn a shout out, I was disappointed when he left in free agency given the season he'd just had in 2013, and I was really glad to see him return.

But sometimes the numbers are lost in the shuffle, but Ginn has 8 receiving touchdowns on the season, 8!! For perspective he had 10 for his career prior to this season (Kelvin Benjamin had 9 TD's last season for comparison), with 5 coming in 2013. He's also 145 yards shy of setting a career best in yards with three games remaining.

My hat is off to Mr. Ginn, he's been a difference maker for us this season. The perfect compliment to the possession receivers, and a catalyst for big plays for this offense.

It's hilarious to look at Ginn's numbers with the Panthers, compared to every other team he has been with.  He has a third of his yards in 2 of his 9 years here (likely to go up with the remainder of the year), and more than two thirds of his TDs.  He also has his two highest ypc avg with this team.  He just fits so well with Cam.
