Expect 60 Point Games Next Year

I think this discussion was brought up, and d-dave made a great point.

This offense matured and molded into something else because of KB going down. I don't think this offense would be this developed if KB didn't have his injury. Cam grew more as a passer and distributed the ball more equally. He kind of had to. Olsen is still here but his other safety valve is gone. I'm kind of glad on one part that they are developing into a more complete potent offense. Sad that KB missed this though.

I'm touched!  I said something someone remembered..../cry!

Rivera isn't the guy to go after points like that anyway.  I think that next year, we'll see more of our younger RBs if we can continue this success.  60 points?  Sheesh, that's a WHOLE LOT!.  8+TDs a GAME?  I don't think that's going to happen.

Now, with Cam, I think he's really turned the corner this year to become that elite player we all hoped for.  Now we know we can trust Cam in any situation, and that he's going to save the magic for the last bit of the game. So long as the ball keeps bouncing in our favor, we're going to continue to be an extremely dangerous team, that's for sure.

What I mean by the bouncing ball:  Look at Cam's TD to Dickson....I mean, that was nearly magical.  That play won't always happen.  3x that should have been tipped, blocked, or dropped...  That's a case of it's better to be lucky than good.  God, that was so nuts, but it won't always happen.

Perhaps I should change the thread title to 30 pts by halftime then?  Our starters will be resting by that time, but ultimately what I'm saying is this offense will be terrifying to face.  How in the world will you be able to guard all these guys, along with Stew, along with Tolbert and whoever else you want to add.  This team is absolutely explosive, and it's because of Cam.  When you look at the Steelers, they have a lot of offensive weapons, but Big Ben is nowhere as gifted as Cam.  Plus our defense is the best in the league and it is only getting better.  Allowing us the opportunity to score more.

I'm not really buying the 'Cam is better because KB went down" theory. I think Cam is better because he has time to throw the ball and look for the open receiver. I seriously doubt if KB was on the field he would be forcing the ball to him all the time.

He's distributing the ball a lot more evenly. He's looking through his progressions.  He doesn't have #1a and #1b to look for right away. KB  and Olsen.

This will ultimately mold Cam into utilizing KB in such a manner next year. He will still be a red zone threat for sure. This only makes this offense that much better. Cams growth as a Passer.

We wont score 60 points unless its needed.

However, we will get to 30 a lot faster.

Tell me how you stop this;

3rd and 4 on the plus side of the field.

Cam in the gun along side Stew.  Olsen Funch and Ginn lined up wide right, Benji alone on the left side.

Pick your mu'fin poison.

Right....but I'm saying he's doing that because he has time to go through those progressions. Last year he had to chuck it to KB or Olsen because he was on he ass in 1.5 seconds if he didn't
