The D-bag from USA Today is at it again... This time Cam's TD Celebrations are a legit reason to hate him.

Basically this Chris Chase guy who has hated on Cam ALL year and has written stupid articles since the off season has written a quite lengthy article on how Cam's over the top celebrations are legit enough reasons to hate him...

He writes this because he has been wrong on everything else he has written.

Here's the article which I suggest not clicking on.

And here's his twitter which I do suggest you visiting to tell him to go fug himself.

I don’t know when we stopped being able to dislike an athlete for irrational reasons, but I do know that if you’re going to dislike one, hating on Cam Newton because he does a 12-second touchdown celebration is a perfectly sane excuse. Look at Cam, after one of his two 40+ yard touchdown passes got his undefeated Carolina Panthers out to an early lead over the Atlanta Falcons.

I wish this clip showed more. He goes on for so long and leaves so much open to interpretation that you’d think you were watching a Terrence Malick movie.

Now, don’t get me wrong: Cam can do whatever he likes after scoring or throwing a touchdown. The fact that he’s able to milk so much celebration time considering the NFL’s Draconian celebration rules is impressive. If you’re not already rooting for him because you’re an Auburn grad or Panthers fan or have liked Cam for a while, then his celebrations are a perfectly good reason to like him too.

But it goes both ways. You can think it’s too showy. You can think it’s not too classy. You can think it’s selfish. You can pine for the days when Jerry Rice or Art Monk would catch a touchdown pass and toss the ball to an official while unbuckling his chin strap. One way isn’t right, one way isn’t wrong, but it is a mistake to suggest that you must like Cam Newton and his dancing. (And this has nothing to do with that crazy letter. That was suggesting Cam is a bad person for his celebrations. I’m merely saying it’s a reason to not root for him.)

Think of it this way: Which is the most hated team in America? Duke men’s basketball, right? And why don’t we like them? Because they slap the floor. Because they shoot threes then run down the court with their shooting hands in the air and a smirk on their faces. Because they act like Newton does. (Maybe it’s a North Carolina thing?)

So now you’re telling me I can’t dislike Cam? That’s irrational. I mean, all of it is irrational — sports fandom, I mean. Spending an entire day of your weekend rooting for grown men wearing silly jerseys and carrying a ball according to arbitrary rules is just a baffling thing. Yet we do it and we love it. And part of rooting for one team is hating on another just because of the logo on their helmets or the way they celebrate or their coach’s demeanor. (My mom can’t stand Pete Carroll because of his rah-rah, gum-chewing style. Does that make sense? No. But none of it does.)

And, for what it’s worth, I like Cam Newton a lot. He’s the most dynamic player in the NFL and I wish the NFL’s rules allowed him to celebrate even more than he does. But don’t tell me I can’t like him. This is America, people.

Is this the dirt bag that called us the worst 9-0 team of all time?

Chris Chase used to write for Yahoo, not for sports just general stuff, and every single article he wrote was absolutely horrible with all kinds of grammatical and spelling errors, wrong facts, etc. Got to the point where every single comment on every article was ripping on Chris Chase in the same way people post in PU topics and he got fired. Fired. From. Yahoo. The guy's just a terrible writer and an idiot, I wouldn't think much of it or him.

    • I like that a lot; Ware from Troy and also Khalil Mack who played at University of Buffalo
    • I remember the Huddle consensus over the course of last season and the previous one. Lots of Bryce is a bust, we should've drafted a 4th slot WR, should've kept Wilks, should've kept an armless Cam, etc etc. So... yea... already thought about that. I wouldn't trust the Huddle to detail my car, let alone run a multi-billion dollar professional sports team. 😛
    • bold prediction, I think Mike Green will be the best pass rusher in this class, and thats even with abdul carter.  He reminds me of demarcus ware, not just in size and prowess, but even coming from a Sunbelt school (Ware from Troy, Green from Marshall).  I think he is passionate about the sport where I think Carter as the physical freak might not have the heart.  Thats the guy Im sold on and am gonna hammer the table for, I know he's not projected 8, but he is projected like 12-13, so if a slide back can happen and we still get the guy I want, I'm 100% on board. All that said, it takes 2 to tango, I think the Cowboys are the tango-er.  IMO theres a VERY good shot that Jeanty is available at 8.  Why does that matter?  Not only do the cowboys NEED a runningback (dak sucks without a run game), but MORE importantly, gee where did Jeanty play in high school.....Frisco TX, literally Dallas Metro.  Soo, RB is a position of need and the best RB and most blue chip draft selection that  could improve the offense immensly played IN dallas metro AND will be in range for them to move up and pick?  Do ya think Jerry Jones is gonna just say no to the Jersey Sales?  Jerry might have sexually assaulted a woman and attempted to prevent black people from going to school, but he's no idiot (he is).  IMO, we get a good enough package, prlly their first and third,  maybe a conditional later and we move to 12.  We get Green, they get Jeanty, everbuddy happy.
