Stewart hurt; Rivera "concerned"

Dont want guys losing momentum, rhythm, and being in game shape and come playoffs being rusty.  Rest them 2nd half of week 17 if we have locked up #1 seed, but we need guys getting reps.

If you are scared of players getting hurt then dont watch football.

What about it is idiotic? That other guys should get more touches? Stewart has never stayed healthy. Running him more in his career than he has ever ran before is a bad idea. An obviously bad idea. In fact, Ron has said over and over in his press conferences that we need him to get less touches.

The problem is that CAP hasn't  always been active just because we didn't have the roster space.  As for Whitaker he plays special teams and kick offs as well as being the backup. He gets touches each week.  In the time he was in he looked pretty good.

Imo.  No one should play not than 3 quarters at this point..  But I'm not sacrificing 16-0 to do it.   I just hope practice becomes long grinding workouts so these guys don't lose conditioning with limited game minutes.  I suspect ron will be pushing them in practice starting tuesday

I think at this point in the year it is just the opposite when it comes to practice.  Guys are beat up and need rest to heal more than at the beginning of the season.  It is a balancing act between making sure everyone is ready to play on Sunday while giving them as much rest as possible. I agree that we should rest our starters if we get some big leads.

What are you talking about?  Why is that a dumb question? Fill me in or eat dirt

Seriously?  Having a couple good runs in preseason against 3rd and 4th stringers means nothing.  Every year people fall in love with the 5th string running back who had a good preseason.  Rarely do they ever have any impact on Sundays.

Means nothing?  Lol then why do we keep him? Stewart is great but doesn't have the speed like Whittaker or Wegher.

Wow.  We keep him for backup depth.  It doesn't mean he should be playing.  Wegher isn't playing unless Stewart, Tolbert, and Fozzy are hurt.  That is just how it works.  He isn't jumping over 4 players and going to start playing.  We are not the Eagles.  We don't rotate 5 running backs.
