As a backup to replace Dalton on a 2 year deal for the right low figure price, sure. Worst case scenario, he is a low price backup that doesn't really offer a whole lot. Best case scenario, he actually competes for the starting job with Bryce while we look for the replacement for both. Either way, doesn't really move the needle much, but everything depends on the numbers. -
Fun fact: There have only been 13 99-yard TD passes in NFL history. We haven't had one since 2011, Eli to Cruz. There were two in 2011 (Brady to Welker). -
There isn't anything he can do that would prevent me from drafting another QB early and blowing up the QB room ie goodbye Andy Dalton and goodbye Jake Plummer. If Bryce is here come next year during camp he can compete for and earn a spot like everyone else.
