A Couple Ted Ginn Drops In Gifs

Ginn didn't follow the ball into his hands to secure the catch. Because he didn't, the ball hit his palm instead of catching with his fingers and bounced right out. Focused on that game winning play too much

He followed it better than the Colts one which is why this time he caught it with his fingers, but the ball just pops up. There's finger exercises for this to tighten one's grip

Eyes check, he brought it to his body to secure the ball this time. Which to me, Idc if a player use his feet to catch the ball just catch the ball

Ginn is a veteran receiver. At this point he is what he is. Accept it. I really wish our fans could get over his drops, its the price of doing business with Ted Ginn.

Chances are that you are correct, but it is still not out of the realm of possibility that Ginn could further improve his reception percentage with continued help from the coaching staff to refine his technique.

Possible though not probable

all you people covering for ginn go right on ahead , but don't come crying to the rest of us if he drops the game winning touchdown with seconds left in a playoff game.

It's simply utter frustration to see an NFL level wide receiver drop passes that often.

I wish Cam could do a bunch of extra drills with Ginn alone just to get more practice in for Ginns catching. I wonder if Ginn catches the ball like 99% of the time in practice by is dropping these passes only in the actual games?

It's something I've been noticing for a long while with Ginn... he never looks the ball into his hands on those deep over the shoulder bombs.  Even on the ones he catches.  He tracks it all the way until the moment of truth, then it's like he just blanks out and completely loses track of the ball right as it reaches him.  Then at that moment it completely becomes a game of chance.  He has no problem catching them across the middle when he's looking directly at Cam and can see the ball the entire way, same thing with catching punts, where he's facing the ball and able to follow the ball the entire way...

It's not a hands thing.  It's strictly an eye and concentration thing.  If somehow the light bulb would suddenly come on (which is unrealistic to expect at this point) and he could learn to follow the ball into his hands on those over the shoulder catches, he'd be just fine.  He'd be an absolutely lethal deep threat with Cam.

I dunno.  I don't know how he hasn't fixed something like that this late into his career.  Aside from that he's got most of the other tools.

We need to test him for add, and have him work with a professional juggler.

So your suggesting we don't play Ginn in the playoffs then?   Lol at the extra drills with Cam.

Clearly the eyes are off the ball in the drops.  If it hasn't been corrected by now, it will not be.  Now, does he have value?  You bet.  When he does get the ball he can put some speed on.  He is getting up in age for WR.  How long will that burst of speed last?  Hopefully the answer to WR is on the roster.  Yes it is.
