Anyone else feel like we're on a collision course for a rematch with Seattle?

Nobody thought the Eagles would beat the Patriots IN NEW ENGLAND. Eagles can beat anybody right now if they're "on" (particularly on ST) and if they're not giving the ball to Murray. Redskins have been great at home so if DeSean Jackson doesn't do anything stupid they could easily beat the Hawks and the Cowgirls barely lost to them 13-12 the first time and that was with Cassell still learning that offense. Giants as you said can pull anything out of their ass. The NFC East winner will beat the 5 seed. I stand by that and will continue to do so. 2 teams have made the playoffs with a losing record. They both won their wildcard round playoff game. If the NFC East winner ends up with a losing record which is pretty likely, they'll be the third to win a playoff game.

Pats are the most depleted team in the AFC, and lost by a TD thanks to wonky bullshit like 100 yard pick sixes. It reminds me of when the Pats played the 2-14 Texans in 2013 where the Texans gave the hobbled Pats one hell of a game. Even still, the Eagles defense is horrendous, Redskins are poo, and Seahawks played the Cowboys before their bye week, where they completely reshuffled the o-line and started scoring 30 ppg.

NFC Least wouldn't win a game against the Ryan Lindley Cardinals of last year. Every team in that division has very fatal flaws.

Ok we'll be "real." Panthers should be 0-12. All the teams they played just poo the bed in those games.

Don't be mad and act ridiculous.

If you watched that game you realize the Pats were the much better team.  The Eagles just capitalized on some flukey things.  Any given Sunday and all that stuff.

I don't think you understand how this works. The Redskins, Cowgirls, Eagles, and Giants have historically pulled sh(t out of their ass to win those types of games. It's not gonna stop this year. It's all aligned, whichever wins it will beat the defending NFC champs and go on to make a run for the Super Bowl. The only team that worry me playing the Panthers is the one that comes out of that division. I think the Panthers are good enough this year to not let that happen, but the Seahawks are not. It's just how this goes and I expect nothing else.

What are you talking about? You made a stupid point so I countered with your same point. I live in Philly and was at a bar in Philly watching the Panthers and of course the Eagles were on 80% of TVs with sound so I saw nearly every play of that game and none of them were "fluky things." The Eagles dominated that game aside from 2 TD drives early and when their defense started playing prevent. The Eagles under Chip have had elite special teams his entire tenure especially with Sproles returning so neither the return or block for TD were "fluky." And if you saw the pick 6 that was amazing defense. When Brady released the ball the receiver was wide open but by the time the ball got there two Eagles were there to make it look like the worst decision ever to throw it and they capitalized. Don't see how that's a "fluke" at all. The Eagles offense moved the ball when they needed to and made huge conversions. And the Hawks do not match up well at all with them on either side of the ball.

The Panthers with Cam leading the offense and Luke leading the defense will be extremely difficult for any team to beat. They are winning the chess matches pre snap consistently.

In the 4th quarter with 1 minute to go in the game, you know Luke will get it done on defense to seal the game, or Cam will lead a game winning drive. Is there any doubt?

The Rivera Era is going to be amazing with those two as the leaders on the field making the adjustments and making plays.

Okay, yeah, you're right.  Barely holding on to win a game where you get a punt return for a TD, a blocked punt for a TD, and a 100 yard pick 6 is winning in routine fashion.  The Pats nearly doubled up the Eagles in yardage and 1st downs.

That Eagles win was as fluky as NFL wins come.

You tried to make a point, it was dumb and two posters called you out on that.  Now you're doubling down on the dumb.

Not giving credit to the team that gets that W is what's dumb.

We may have a repeat of that this weekend. The Texans are quite as bad this time, but I've been thinking for a few weeks now that this Pats Texans match up this weekend is about as big as trap games come for New England

Some things to consider:

 - Minnesota plays @ Green Bay in week 17, a game that will likely decide the NFC North winner. If Green Bay wins that game, they will then very likely host the #6 seeded Vikings the very next week again at Lambeau. I'd generally take the Packers in that scenario once, but twice in two weeks? It's definitely possible the Vikings end up being the team we face in the divisional round.

 - It's possible that we will end up in a decent position to decide if Seattle makes it to the playoffs or not. If Seattle wins out through week 16, but loses to Arizona in week 17 AND the Vikings beat Green Bay to win the NFC North, then it will come down to Tampa Bay vs. Seattle for the #6 seed. If the Bucs run the table through week 16 (not unlikely) then a win over us coupled with a Vikings win and a Seahawks loss at Arizona would have Tampa making it in over Seattle - IF they beat us in week 17, that is.

 - If we do play Seattle, let's consider that they do not have Jimmy Graham available this time around. With Josh Norman locking up Doug Baldwin, that will leave Wilson with very few receiving targets (only Kearse and the backup TE really) and we almost always do a good job of containing their run game, so I'm not sure they're going to be the threat to us that many in the media will no doubt proclaim them to be in a playoff rematch scenario. Plus, they've relied heavily on homefield advantage the last 2 years in the playoffs. Having to fly cross-country to play us on Charlotte is a different animal come playoff time.

    • No one is asking him to be Tom Brady. They're just asking him to be as good if not better than Cooper Rush, Jimmy Garoppolo and Carson Wentz. We'd like Young to be better than Sam Darnold and Baker Mayfield, but we're not even asking for that. No matter how you cut it he's going to be considered a bust for what was given up for him. He should be outpacing Cam Newton, Jake Delhomme and Kerry Collins game for game in their careers. He should at least be challenging the clutch level of Brady, Mahomes, Stafford, Goff, Garoppolo, Burrow, Hurts and Purdy. Remember that's based on the draft capital given up for Young, and not the extremely low bar Young has actually set for himself.
    • Even if you cherry pick Bryce post benching and ignore everything else and project it out over a full season….. there is no statistical  argument Kyler has ever been worse.   I’m no Murray fan as I agree he is more athlete than QB.   And I’m open to Bryce improving and support us continuing to develop him as this point.
    • We need LBs--build the roster from the bottom up.  On offense, we have Coker who has been huge...if you fill your weaknesse without having to use free agent $$$ or draft picks--win win.
