I'll admit I don't look at it that much anymore. I don't really look at anything that much that isn't sports/movie related anymore.

BUT in the Chives defense... yes it is a dumbed down version of reddit. It filters stuff out and lets you open up one app... Kinda like Apple vs Droid. I look at both the Chive and Reddit but none as much as I did 4 years ago.

I stopped checking out the Chive a long time ago. Half of the content is for their branded crap, and I can't stand the owner, that weird, middle-aged guy that played the effeminate, hick deputy on True Blood. I enjoyed it back when it wasn't just a bunch of interns re-posting photos from Instagram hoes, and there was a lot more user submitted content. 

Gotta hand it to them though. They've found a way to monetize that crap, so good for them.
