I think we did have one!!

Will we have to go 1-15 before we get another 1? Is Peete the "token" who gives us the freedom to never bring another 1 in since we can say "well we did have one once!"? And lets be real, Peete was nothing more than a "stopgap" for an incoming rookie coach who did not trust or believe in sorry ass Chris Weinke. And even when he made that move people questioned it even though Weinke went 1-15 the year prior. It wasnt til we beat Baltimore in Week 1 of that year and started 3-0 people shut up about it. I'm waiting for us to draft or bring in a black QB and give him that "great hope" treatment we've bestowed on Jake, you know the "he's our guy and we'll give him 5-6 years to fug up and find himself before we say enough" treatment.

Why can you just say "can't we get a Great QB" and not make it so crazy with the race card! I liked Peete and not b/c he was black or white b/c he was a good QB!

Bullshit, McNabb wont miss significant time and how many times do we have to see black QBs whoop our teams ass before we decide to get one of our own? After you talked all that poo about McNabb being soft and not a leader this offseason and how Jake's "leadership" and "fiery spirit" makes him a better QB, how do you look now? McNabb was the best QB on the field yesterday and if he came to Carolina would instantly be the best we ever had.

Same rules apply as before: Playing the race card equals an admiision on your part that you can't keep up or debate based on facts. You lose. End of story.

And as an aside, the notion that all our problems would be solved with a black QB may be the dumbest thing you've ever posted here (and there's a lot of competition for that spot).

Fair enough, but the fact we avoid black QBs like the plague is something everybody now sees with this team. Not taking Vick, and picking up Feeley now is telling the world what Ive been saying all offseason. Our QB position is nothing but a marketing tool. No talent required.

You always bringing up the race talk over & over. Stop being a damn racist with whining "No one want black QB, because they are racists!!". I know you're black, but you keep acting like the team is a racist for not getting a black QB. We don't care what race a QB is. We just want a good one.

And some not wanting Vick has nothing to do with his race. It has to do with how he is a dog killer & not a good QB like some think. He may be a good football player, but a great QB? Not really. Plus, he isn't that smart either.

Who cares if we bring in a black QB or a QB of any other race? I just want a QB who is accurate and stops making rookie mistakes no matter his skin color. Mcnabb didn't kick our teams ass, his defense and st's is the reason why his team won yesterday. I would have been ok with Vick becoming a Panther but he's not going to be an effective starting QB till next yr.

The only threads he posts in are the ones where he can talk about the "white devil", and how the Panthers dont want a black quarterback cause of marketing. That excuse would make Al Sharpton laugh.

I mean seriously, it is every single thread where he can try to make race part of the issue. I mean there is a reason, almost all of the members of this forum know how predictable and idiotic your statements are.

If the Panthers front office is sooooooo racist. Then the "non-racist" Philly Eagles probably have plenty of room for a bitter African American man.

If I owned an NFL team Id give chances to every kind of QB out there. White, black, red, blue, yellow. It saddens me I cant say the same about the Panthers. If you dont like it, fug YOU! But as a Panther fan who's rode with this team from Day 1 and who's name is underneath one of them big ass Panthers in front of BOA (like many other DIE HARD PANTHER FANS) thats how I feel. This team is biased against black QBs (like many other NFL teams) and will continue to be a losing franchise until it evolves into the 2000s. The "way we've been doin it" hasnt gotten us back to back winning seasons boys. Arent you tired of losing?

      Canales not having experience with College QBs shouldn’t matter. A QB is a QB. Say he can only work with already NFL QBs is not a trait I want in a HC and would be damning.  For me it is Ward over Sanders. So I would hope that is who they aim for and we can an avoid the potential drama drafting Sanders may bring. But I have been impressed with Sanders play, too bad about that attitude.    But if Bryce continues to improve this may be a moot point.
