Uhhhhh. If the Panthers had 0 chance of winning the super bowl I wouldn't support them either. Be my guest and get excited over at best being the team that Lebron beats though.

There are 30 or so franchises for each sport spread out across a population of hundreds of millions of people.

Charlotte, NC (population: 800k) just happens to host two franchises in two of the most lucrative American sports right now, putting it in the same league (literally) as cities like Chicago, NYC, LA, Atlanta, etc.

If you can't see how fortunate this area is to have the franchises they do (particularly when you consider what Charlotte looked like just thirty years ago) that's too bad.

Hello all.

This section of the Huddle is first and foremost a Hornets forum. It has come to my attention that some folks seem to enjoy just popping in here to poo on the Hornets without adding much (if any) value to this joint.

As such, those people will find themselves banned not only from the Hornets section but the rest of the Huddle as well. If you don't have something constructive to say about the Hornets (positive or negative) and find yourself in here just to troll.... you may want to stop.

Okay, you keep dreaming that the Hornets are going to be able to beat super teams. I'll be here in reality.

Are you under the impression that people here think the Hornets are going to the Finals or something?

The losing in the NBA isn't just a problem Charlotte has experienced. It's a problem league wide, which is why I stopped watching for awhile honestly. Every season there are half a dozen or more teams tanking, and the lottery process isn't helping. I still can't believe we got robbed of Anthony Davis.

I've been here since it was pretty much just me, King Tahara, Bwood, Chuck, and Prodiddy posting about the Bobcats. You leave.

"I don't see a point in following this team, but I'm a fan!"

Do you not see the lack of logic in your reasoning?

Have you seen the Warriors' history before Curry arrived? Heck, before Steve Kerr arrived?

How is that Cleveland Cavaliers trophy case looking?

You point out the Panthers always had a chance to win the Super Bowl like this place wasn't a complete wasteland of hopelessness just a year and a half ago discussing a GM who didn't respect players, a coach that was too rigid, and an owner that didn't care about winning.

Again, why are you here?

Honestly, if we are clicking on all cylinders and the officiating is bearable, we could beat Cleveland in a series.  Our team is far deeper and more talented from top to bottom.  We almost beat them a week or so ago, but the refs took over late...  and you can say what you want about Kyrie, but i maintain he is the most overrated player in the league.

Do i think we will beat them in a series if we were to meet in the playoffs at this point?  Likely not, but mostly because of the officiating.

We are a better shooting team, a smarter team, and we play with great ball movement...  cleveland has lebron, lol.

Dell gave a stat tonight in pregame - since November 18th, the hornets are 8-2, which is second best in the entire league during that stretch,  behind only Golden State (obviously lol).  Dont fool yourself or let the past cloud your better judgment, this team is really good.
