The WTF are you serious article of the week goes to the AJC. Charles Godfrey is sitting back waiting to dish out on all the intricacies of the defense.

Oh no. Everyone knows Charles fuging Godfrey was the mastermind behind this defense and an irreplaceable, integral part of it's success. It's an honor that he earned his zero pro-bowls with the Panthers.

Love this quote from Godfrey:

They said " laid the foundation" as if he were a 14 year vet looking for fresh start and not a overpaid safety that got by on drat stock.

To be fair, he had a really good season in 2010. But that defense also included Beason/Williams/Anderson, Chris Gamble, Richard Marshall, CJ/Hardy, etc. So I think he was more of a by-product than a catalyst.
