2. Prime Time

3. Tony Gonzalez

4. John Abraham

5. Julio Jones

But yea that'd be the only way I'd do it...

5 players currently...hell no

Olsen + Gonzo = gg
Deon + Norman = gg
Abraham adds to passrush 
Jones #1 WR
Favre is a slight downgrade from Cam but adding the other HOFs at crucial positions on our team make up for that easily.

Nope, I wouldn't trade Cam for their next 5 first round draft picks.

I think Cam Newton is the best offensive weapon in the league right now. Hands down, MVP.

Having said that, if we're talking no salary cap ramifications, you do it in a heart beat. 

The first is obviously Matt Ryan. While I don't think he's a top 5 QB in the league, he's a guy that with the right team around him can go deep into the playoffs. Look no further than 2012.

Second is Julio. Best receiver in the game. Absolute animal.

Third is Trufant. Top 5-10 corner in football. Put him outside across from Norman. Where do you throw the ball? 

Fourth is Jake Matthews. The only real piece the Oline is missing is a LT. Jake Matthews gives you that. 

Fifth you could go a handful of ways. Devante Freeman, if you don't feel like he's a product of the system. William Moore/Ricardo Allen to take over at safety for Harper. Or Vic Beasley, for an outside rusher.

That team is a Super Bowl contender for a long time. It's a well rounded team who isn't a single player injury away from irrelevance. DA could win with that squad.

No. Just no. What Cam does and means to this team CANNOT be duplicated. No current 5 players on any team. Yes! ANY CURRENT NFL TEAM, would be worth trading Cam. We just got our cap straight, we have awesome young players developing. We have continuity with coaching staff/receivers/defense/lineman. With KB coming back, money to spend in FA, and Gettlemans track record with drafts....it wouldn't be worth it long term. We have the chance to be great for a decade with the current management. We would be trading away our future. NO WAY.

I have my reasons. 

 

On the Falcons board I saw them actually discussing if they would trade Cam for Matt Ryan straight up a couple weeks ago. Most would not.
