Saints player on record setting pace

Not panthers related, but who doesn't love laughing at the Saints.

Once herealded as a great FA pickup, Saints CB is on pace to be the most penalized player ever in the NFL.

"With 21 penalties in 12 games, he is on track to become the most penalized NFL player since 1999. The NFL does not keep penalties as an official statistic for individuals, and the league's official statistical service did not record them before 1999 so it's unclear if Browner would set some sort of unofficial NFL record.

Houston Texans tackle Chester Pitts currently holds the ignominious unofficial record for most penalties in a season with 22 in 2003.

Browner needs one more infraction in the Saints' final four games to tie Pitts, which seems inevitable given his flag-filled history."

What an amazing team.  Couldn't be happening to a more deserving franchise.

Hey we shouldn't laugh at the guy, but send him Christmas presents.  The free first downs we got on his penalties on Sunday were pretty crucial to our win!!

We got 6 free first downs (18% of our total 1st downs) courtesy of the Saints.  I think most of those were thanks to Browner, but I don't have the exact number handy.  As you can see below, 18% of 1st downs on penalties is MUCH higher than any other game this season.  Our season average is 8%

Tis the season to be giving, and giving (in Browner's case). During the game, while on the Panther forum, I couldn't help to remark that Browner was the best player the "Panthers" had on the field.

Well actually not the best Panthers player but Browner just kept giving and giving and giving.........
