Forgive the newbie question, but how do players get chosen as All-pro?  Is it one per postion (or 2 each for guards, tackles etc.)?

And who does the choosing?

This is something I'd never really followed closely...

the AP All Pro has a total of 50 anonymous voters.the voters pool consists of  national sports columinsts, and tv sports media (more than likely a former player and current HOF such as Terry Bradshaw for example)

1st Team

you have 1 QB,FB, TE,Punter,Kick Return Specialists,Kicker,and Center

then 2 WR,RB,Guards,OTand 12 on defense (2ILB)etc

2nd team runner ups at each position

An all-pro is a player who is determined to be the best at their position as voted on by a selected panel of sports writers. There is normally a 1st and 2nd team.
A pro-bowl player is a player who appears in the pro bowl at the end of the season voted on by fans, coaches, and players.

John Clayton did a mid season all pro selection...Kalil, KK, Norman, Kuechly were the only Panthers on his list.

Thanks.

In my ignorance, I had always assumed that the "all-pro" designation was for the best of the pro-bowl players.

At this point in the season, I would assume our all-pro possibilities are  Cam, Luke, Josh, Greg, KK,   Maybe Trai, Kurt Coleman or TD too (I know TD is at a disadvantage as an OLB vs. 3-4 schemes, but his stats are really good this year!).  For some reason Kalil's play isn't impressing me quite as much lately as it was earlier in the season - He's still really solid, I'm just not sure if he'd continue to get the all-pro votes.

We are so blessed to have such an amazing team.
