that actually wasn't a catch. Cotchery clearly lost control of it as he was sliding out of bounds.

surprised it wasn't reviewed upstairs.

but after being on the wrong end of those calls so many times this year, glad some are going our way.

What.

1. He has control all the way through.

2. He doesn't need to keep control all the way through. He isn't pushed to the ground by the defender, he goes to the ground of his own accord. So as soon as two feet come down inbounds, the play is over, touchdown.

your #2 reason is completely wrong. control must be maintained all the way through or it is incomplete.

Ivan asked me to post this...

Translation: "There's Cam, he has time...he's going to receive, he's going to receive it! He caught it! He caught it!  He caught it! (background 'Clutchery' x2),  Jeri-cho! Cotuachi! (butchered his name lol) Touchdown! Touchdown! Touchdown! Jeri-cho Cotuachi! Chest of steel, puts points in the board! And sirs let the world clap! Let the world clap! (another Spanish song) Za za za yakuza yakuza! X2 And there the feline fury puts 41 points on the board,  the feline fury is up 41-38 with a minute of play left!"

I didn't see him lose control, the ball moved but he had two hands on it the whole way. Maybe you saw a different angle.

I watched the replay about 20 times, and I still don't understand how you think it's clear that he lost control. The defender grabs his arm and pushes it towards the head, but he's got a handle on the ball that entire time.

you actually might be right. the ball definitely moved after he hit the ground, but it looks like Cotch's hands moved with the ball as he slid out of bounds.

all scoring plays are reviewed, so i'm assuming they quickly reviewed it and didn't see anything conclusive to overturn it.

Yeah, you can see the defender grab his arm and push it towards his head, but I think he has it the whole way. I would have been shocked if they found evidence to overturn it.
