What? I never said that he did, all that I ever said was that the hit was not an illegal hit as many have tried to say. According to what I understand about legal helmet contact to runners, the play by the saints player was within the rules. That doesn't exonerate him from being a douchebag, and I never claimed it did.

Eh, the lowly fans celebrating the hit are much bigger DB's than that no name player, I can't say with certainty that he was trying to go for his head. Would have been worse had he gone for his knees.

Lol. First Cams a victim and now this?

This is football buttercup. There are no victims. If Cam wouldn't have slowed down and been taunting, Mauti wouldn't have gotten close to him. He's trying to duck the guy that "launched himself at him"? He's bracing for a hit because he knew he fugged up.

Clearly, it's ok for Cam to duck his head and his shoulder but it's not ok for the defender to.

I think SZ was agreeing that it wasn't illegal and that the rule says the runner can't initiate contact with the crown of the helmet, which Cam didn't do.

Even Cam Newton said he deserved it. He just completely didn't see the linebacker and thought he was waltzing into the endzone.

He's lucky that particular football lesson wasn't more costly this time.

Nah man. SZ is saying it was illegal and that Mauti was head hunting.

I like the play of that LB.  Cam said, "don't want me dancing, don't let me in the endzone."  that lb gave it his all to keep Cam out. He didn't give up like Vacaro.  I admire the effort to protect his endzone.

That thread is disgusting though.  They are 10 times worse than anything Cam ever did.  Same for the people who cheered when they thought he was hurt.  They are below Cam in all aspects of life.

funny how sensitive football fans are with it being such a tough sport and all. we know our fans would have loved to see our players hit somebody like that.
