Ron snaps at Joe Person over Cam getting hit.

"In fact, I understand you called the league office"

Then Ron spreads his arms like he was saying, "Come at me, Bro"

Pearson has always done this.  He needles trying to get a little sizzle for a headline or make a story where there isn't one.  Sensationalized reporting at it's best.  He'll ask the same question repeatedly in different ways.  This isn't the first time Ron's told Joe he'd already previously answered a question.  Joe probably thinks he's being a tough reporter when he's just being an asshole.

I don't know who Rivera was talking to in another video I saw (I think it was made right after the game was over in the locker room) but Rivera explained all he could about the incident right then and there.  Now if that were Joe Person he was talking to in that video then Joe is an asshole for bringing it up again since Ron had given him an answer already.  It really felt like Joe was questioning Ron's integrity especially in light of Joe contacting league offices.

The clip from yesterday that I saw had Ron say Cam went to get his ankle or something checked out, he was vague about it.  He did not say " Cam was checked out by our medical staff, and the NFL doctors and cleared on field concussion protocol ".

So yes Joe followed up with the leauge as it is his job to do so.  He then wanted ask Ron about if he was worried about the 2 hits.

Just don't  get mad about a guy doing his job regardless if you do or don't like his reporting style.

Lmao. Joe Person does not have a "reporting style". Unless you consider trying to stir sh*t up to make a controversial story that gets him attention.

For example, his story about Brandon Lafell, and child support in the middle of the Panthers season a few years ago. That made him quite the unpopular guy within the Panthers locker room. He doesn't care about integrity. Don't fool yourself.

But when coach dismissed it, it should have been dropped. Recounting the two times he was hit in the head set him off. He had his answer at that point. Its good to push, but its good to know when you are on thin ice too.

Jeremy, I understand you're point of view and usually I agree with you. But Joe was clearly out of line here, considering it had already been discussed. He should have left it after the "checking in with Cam" line, but he DEFINITELY shouldn't have gone behind Rivera's back. Rivera has been a lot of things in his coaching career here, but he has always been a man of integrity and a face this franchise can stand proudly behind. Quite frankly, back-handedly accusing someone of lying (who never has a history of it) is an insult.

I'm proud of how Rivera handled it. He has grown so much as a leader and I wouldn't take any other coach in the league right now.

Furthermore, if someone wants to argue that that is part of Person's job- sure he might get the scoop on one story, but any bridge he had with Rivera just burned down.
