Greg Olsen...

With the way our offense is set up, all we need for our guys to do is just catch the ball. That's what Greg does.

Shula and Cam sets it up where we're taking intermediate shots down the field, anyways. All we need for our guys to do is catch it, and Greg does that well. Best hands on the team.

Greg ain't a YAC guy. He is what he is and I wouldn't even trade him for gronk at this point. Gronk gets injured too often and Olsen is always strong and steady and plays almost every snap.

And he leads our team in YAC.

thats not really a good thing. but i will say with our system we throw downfield so there arent as many opportunities for receivers. i think its pretty self-evident watching the games that greg is not a YAC guy. he's kind of goofy looking. Incredible route runner, hands, clutchness and football smarts and the man stays on the field. can't ask for much better

Do grown men call other grown men pansy nowadays?  I don't think I've used the word "pansy" since I was 13 years old and that was 30 years ago.  I guess I need to get on the Twitter to stay up on the latest lingo trends.

Or pehaps the OP is simply an immature attention whore that gets his jollies by belittling our Walter Payton man of the year nominee, our best and most reliable receiving threat, and a great example of what we want from all Panther players to become.

I'll stick with option 2 and stay of the Twitter.  When I go to the store to get a gallon of milk, the interweb doesn't need to know about it.

Olsen is more concerned with making the catch than he is with running afterwards. He usually exaggerates looking the ball into his hands. That extra .5 second takes away from your ability to make a play after catching the ball, but it increases his chances of actually catching the ball. I'd rather he just catch the ball.

There is a saying that the weak are defeated by the strong and the strong are defeated by the smart..

Olsen plays strong but smart............his falling to ground is often going for passes thrown in areas a defender cannot  intercept rather than worrying about the yards after the catch until it is secured.

If there is nothing he gains after the catch but it wraps up the first down that is smart......

Gronk is bigger and stronger but plays more like a breast than a brain.......and in this league it will cost you.

That's my point. Gonna go make a thread about YAC right now.

Everyone knows the worst 12-0 team ever needs a pansy at TE. Goes well with the dancing QB.

Seriously, Olsen has 'fallen down', while holding onto a catch, often enough to keep us undefeated. I hate to think what this season would have been without him.

The guy catches almost anything thrown within 10 feet of him. He lays out for tough catches and holds onto the ball after taking a hard shot. The guy finds the holes in zones like no one else in the league. He run blocks. He blocks on the line, takes care of his assignment and then drops out to catch a pass. He's closing in on 1,000 yards receiving as a tight end. The guy is a model member of the team and the community. He's the prime example of a team player.

Screw Gronk. I'd take Olsen on my team 10 times out of 10 over Gronkowski. It's Goliath vs. Thor. My money is on the smaller but smarter one.
