Smitty

Man, the conspiracy theories really come out of the woodwork when a team loses, huh?

Let's see, I remember Smith telling "Double Trouble" last season that they were better than him, but that he would ride their coattails all the way.

Have you seen the vicious blocks Smitty throws that directly lead to the success of our running backs? The guy is a team player. Yes, he wasn't voted captain and he doesn't talk to many people on the sideline, but he's always been a bit of a loner. I wouldn't want to talk to anyone yesterday either.

I don't think he is having a problem with the RBs getting touches he just wants the ball thrown accurately on routes in a scheme that is going to allow him to make plays when it matters.

:iagree:

Double Trouble is not the problem. Our QB (who happens to be his good friend) and our offensive scheme is. This is going to be a long and interesting season if we're treated to many more games like we saw yesterday.

I agree with everything posted above. It just seems like something is different about how he is interacting with teammates.

I remember one play in particular yesterday. I believe it was right before the punt that was run back for a TD. Jake scrambled left under pressure and went to Moose across the middle. Smith was open down the Panthers sideline and threw his helmet at the bench coming off the field. This was before Jake melted down up 7-0.

Smith always says the right things but actions speak louder than words
