Well, that didn't take long.. (Saints blog crying about the refs)

Refs were pretty bad on a few calls. Usually we are on the other end. Nice to be on this side for a change

Oh, but what about Cams helmet to helmet on the goaline tackle.. or Browners imploding and giving us a TD in the 2nd.. Ginn dropping 50 TDs today...... Saints had thier chances and their defense pissed em away..

I was more annoyed with how excited Troy and Buck got when it looked bad for us.

This is what happens when you're on top of the mountain. Most of the people tuning in were doing so hoping we would lose.

Yeah the helmet to helmet was crazy.  I also thought that the Olsen "fumble" could have been an INT but we didn't challenge.

Both defenses were pretty bad.  It came down to Cam vs Brees.  Cam won.  Not sure I thought I'd ever see that, and that's not a knock on Cam but more of how good Brees is.

Helmet to helmet doesn't count for a runner.

These refs were terrible. Nothing wrong with admitting that. Two late hits on ST they ignored. The 12 men in the huddle and in the formation. The garbage taunting call on Ingram. They were terrible. Holds happen on both sides. Those don't concern me.

It should concern you, if you're the team on defense and it could make or break the game and your linebacker is getting a sleeper hold applied to him lol.

Also as of 2013 it does count as helmet to helmet, regardless.

Whatshisface Blandino made a comment to ESPN last week or so about how refs are only committing 4.1 errors per game or someshit and how it's not that bad. When 1 of those errors is game-changing, it's not like people get mad about it just to blame the refs. This isn't a false start people are complaining about. If i was a saints fan (which i'm not, thankfully), i'd be mad at the refs today too. Hell I'm mad at them for how shitty they've been all season. I mean, think about any job that actually requires the ability to make a decision. If you made those errors consistently week in and week out, you'd get fired. These are the same dudes who went on strike.

It didn't concern me all the times it was missed on our side, so I'm not sure what your point is. You could call holding on every play in the NFL.

The 2013 rule change was for leading with the crown of the helmet, which didn't happen. Mauti led with his shoulder. Incidental contact with the helmet isn't a flag. Mauti probably wouldn't have been flagged even if it was a receiver, because he led with his shoulder.

The helmet to helmet on Cam most definitely should have been flagged as a personal foul. It's probably the most egregious helmet to helmet I've ever seen, since Cam was completely defenseless and - since he was upright - the defender had to intentionally set out to create the helmet to helmet contact. It was a premeditated move to injure Cam.

I would practically guarantee that the Saints defender will get fined when the NFL reviews the tape.

Now you're saying the Saints defender led with the shoulder? Seriously? Look, friend, you are entitled to your own opinion, but you are not entitled to your own facts.
