To be fair, Hurney did have a pretty good track record with first-rounders... it was just every other pick (save the occasional fluke) that he crashed and burned on. It's like he never scouted past the first round.

 

Gettleman has brought in what he could with the cap space hell he was left by Hurney. Overall, he's made lemonade out of lemons, and has found guys who were complete trash elsewhere, and the coaching staff has done an outstanding job of turning them into possible pro-bowlers. The worst thing Hurney did for us was the toxicity he created with the ridiculous contracts, and the using up of our cap room for his "win now" mentality. The best thing he did, was find first round gems all over the place for us. But, I digress, as his time has moved on, and it's Gettleman's team now. Might want to just let it go...
