Took him long enough. It's like what NFL has these people been watching? We have seen Cam grow every year. Sure he is lights out this year, but he has been breaking records and tearing it up since he came into the league.

Seriously the only thing wrong with Newton pre-draft was his lower body mechanics(he still throws flat footed, borderline sidearm sometimes). Anything else was a load of doodoo.

A cursory view of an NFL scouting report, and/or interview with Cam's former coaches, or discussion with Rivera (who went over all this stuff), would have easily told Mayock his work ethic should never have been in question by him.

He fails to realize that questioning Cam's "work ethic" is more racist than questioning his talent, and every bit as racist as questioning whether he could ever learn to run an NFL offense or read defenses. Should've stuck with saying Cam couldn't consistently throw from the pocket. That's a legitimate question to raise. You don't "question" someone's work ethic before they get a chance to demonstrate it, you say they need to work hard and then see if they do...racist (Maycock).
