Two Steves

First Panthers QB that made me proud Steve Beuerline and former Bills weapon Steve Tasker. 

Time goes fast....They look older but not bad.

Biakabutuka was easy because it's spelled how you say it. I've also had a hard time with Beuerlein. That many silent e's should be illegal.

That 1999 season Beurlin mighta been the 2 best QB in the league behind K. Warner.  Wonder how different history would have been if we had not cut him.

Steve has been pretty critical of the Panthers and had some choice words for the organization not too too long ago.

We might have only lost 12 games, because we had about a half-dozen games that were decided within a touchdown and anyone but Weinke could have done better. That being said, virtually every weapon he used in 1999 and 2000 was basically gone. Wesley Walls wasn't himself, Muhsin Muhammad (coming off a league-learning 102-catch year) was injured the last part of the year, and Patrick Jeffers was a really sad shell of 1999. In the running game, Fred Lane was dead and Biakabutuka was injured the whole year. On top of that, Steve Smith wouldn't ever be considered for playing time under Seifert (both due to size and how useful he was as a returner) and the line was awful. Even if somehow manage to overcome all of that, the defense was terrible. Beurelein was good, but not good enough to overcome all that crap.
