What does Cam have to do to win MVP?

Here is a bunch of what if's I thought about today.

What if we went 19-0 this year?

What if Cam won the MVP this year?

What if We won the Superb Owl this year?

If both are those are a yes and given Cam's ability to show he can transform the QB position and transcend the era by which he plays, is he already a shoe in for the Hall of Fame 5 years into his career?

But anyways on to the Saints.

Hes already on a HOF pace based on volume stats despite people not wanting to admit it

But yeah.  If all of that happens, then it would be a completely perfect season... the greatest season of all time, which would add some serious weight to his HOF resume

I think the key will be to finish the season strong.  The voters seem to be a bit biased towards end of the season performance and with Cam and Brady pretty even right now, if Cam outplays him the rest of the season and the team keeps winning that will give him a chance.  If, over the remaining five games, he can throw for something like 1200 yards and 10 TD, with few TO's and a nice completion percentage then he has a good shot, especially if he adds another 3-4 running TD's.

Unfortunately, I'm also of the mindset that this award is Bradys to lose so if Brady also has a great finish to the season as well, theres probably nothing Cam can do to win it since the media will use any excuse to give it to him with all the "hardships" he has faced this season.

Keep in mind, "Brady" has experienced hardships now, yes. However, Cam and the Panthers have experienced "hardships" from the seasons start with those receivers. There's were builit in from the get go. LOL

I said if Newton has 30 TD's, and more wins than Brady, he'll win (doesn't mean he can't win it with 27 TD's and more wins). The question is: Will Shula and Rivera allow Newton to amass those statistics, since they have a quick hook on Cam and the passing game anytime the team has more than a two TD lead.

I think right now Cam's leading BTW. But it's close.

Honestly, Coach needs to keep Cam in games, even if it's blow outs and keep attacking (perhaps do what Sean Payton did for Bree's). Cam needs to inflate his stats a bit to make the stats guys happy.

Also, going 16-0 as well would seal the deal.

This will not happen......Cam will not be exposed to inflate stats.

Has Rivera ever cared about Cam's stats?

I agree with you. He needs to think this way.

Cam needs 30, or close to 30 passing TD's (with over 3000 yds) to assure a win.

Keep the turnovers low for one.  Maybe another game like the 5 TD one (3+ tds) where he just dominates so people keep that fresh in their mind.  Obviously going 16-0 would help.   Just keep being exciting.

MVP means Most Valuable Player.  To me, that is to his team.  Take Cam off this team and we are bad.  If Brady is hurt, the Patriots probably still win 10 games.  We seen it when Cassel came in and he hasn't been great since.  Not taking away from Brady obviously, just saying.
