Has Devin Funchess earned the starting spot?

We drafted him to be a starter, he's got the most physical tools of any WR currently on the roster, and he's caught everything thrown his way the last few games.  I can't really think of any reason he shouldn't be starting.

I dont generally believe that a starter should lose his job to injury so Philly should start when he is totally healthy.  However they should compete with each other and the best matchup for the team we are facing and the person who is doing the best in the game should get the most snaps.  It is like the old feed the stud mentality.  They are very different players and there should be plays for both of them to make.

He's playing better. We really didn't pass much vs. the Cowboys so it's hard to judge his performance. He got decent position on Byron Jones in the end zone, I would have like to see Cam throw it more outside so he could reach for it. 

I still think you do this by committee. If Philly is healthy he can still give us something. We have a bunch of receivers that are all average overall and exceptional at specific things.

I think Funchess just passes the eyeball test better than Philly.  Especially, for this offense.  He basically is what we want he just needs to be the guy he has been the past few weeks the rest of the season...building on it each week.

Philly IMO should be inserted more when Ginn needs breaks to keep legit speed always on the field.

Not putting Funchess out there slows his growth IMO.  We need him getting better.  He has a higher ceiling than Philly in our offense.  So why does Philly need more reps than Funchess?  I don't see any reason.  

I think Ginn, Cotchery and Funchess need more reps than Philly.

I don't care who gets the official "starter" title.  I do hope Funch will get significant snaps.  He is showing a lot of potential and I think the extra play will help him continue to grow.  I think Philly should get some more end around type plays.  He's shifty on those...  I may not really know what I'm talking about, but perhaps divide the snaps fairly evenly among Ginn, Funch & Brown, with Cotch / Bersin getting time too depending on the situation.  Cam is showing he can throw to lots of different receivers and seems to have developped good rhythm with all of these WRs now, so lets keep our opponents off balance by continually shifting our pattern of WRs.

Panthers want KB and Funchess to be the starting WRs. That was obvious when they exchanged 3 draft picks for Funchess.

Time to start him. He is the best weapon the Panthers have at WR.

Ginn, Philly, Funch and Cotch will all have significant roles. We're a WR by committee. In my opinion Cotch and Funch should be leading that committee.

I mean if it is 3rd down....Cotchery better be on the field.  Outside of Olsen, no one has been more clutch on of late.

Yes, he will be important come playoff time. I say that we feed him. Everytouch he gets now will pay dividends down the stretch.

Im not writing Philly off just yet just cause hes been injured.  Philly has had some big clutch grabs and has yet to drop a pass, even back when Ginn and Funch were doing their best to see who could drop the most passes

Im thrilled at what Funch is doing, but we should keep up this WR by committee once Philly.  If anyone should be seeing the most snaps its Jerricho Clutchery
