Who is complaining?

Yeah, I'm not complaining, just calling it like it is. Kemba is having a bad game, and if he was playing better the game would be closer. Unfortunately instead of taking what is given like he has been he has just spent his time trying to answer what Curry is doing and that's not how we play.

In general they just aren't making the good shots they've created.

The Warriors are great but they also barely beat the Jazz and the Nets and are overdue for a loss.

Warriors are definitely the better team, but I feel good knowing that we shot very poorly, missing many open jumpers and shots behind the arc that we normally make.

Our lack of an enforcer inside is what will hold this team back, which is inexcusable considering who we let leave this offseason.

Hearing Clifford's postgame comments makes me wonder if he misses Biz.

A few thoughts I had on the game (and probably others too, I haven't seen a game thread in a few games):

  • We are pretty damn good. We got beat by a superhero in the 3rd quarter, which happens if you're playing the best player in the league. We kept it pretty close even though Klay couldn't miss early on. Barring a big rash of injuries I think we'll be 5 or 6 in the East based on this game and earlier on in the season.
  • Jeremy Lin is the worst passing guard in NBA history. Hyperbole of course, but he misses so damn many open guys. If he would just hit a few of them our team would be even better.
  • Frank and Hawes are way too gunshy. Sometimes passing up the open shot is selfish, you usually don't get a better one.
  • Tyler Hansbrough should play more, especially with Jefferson out. Hawes and Kaminsky can't rebound to save their life. Putting in this psychopath would add some toughness and rebounding that we need. On an unrelated note, I'm really glad we signed Hansbrough, he's really fun to watch in garbage time, he plays so hard (he hit a 3 against Philly with a minute left up double digits).
  • Kemba and Marvin both shot very poorly but were a big reason it was even close to begin with. Kemba covered Curry really well, which is weird to say since he got 40 in 3 quarters. The help defense on Curry was unbelievably bad, which is why he got what felt like 20 layups. Marvin got a couple of big blocks and defensive stops and generally played very hard.
  • We need to run Jeremy Lamb off screens a lot, he is really good off ball and has a quick release. I think if we structured our offense around him more he could be a star.

I don't think he misses Biz inside considering he never played Biz because between he, Kemba, Lance  and MKG you would have truly had an offense from hell and this season we have done well enough without him all things considered.

Biz wasn't good and I don't understand the continued fascination with him.

I was going to post this in the "defensive big" thread, but if the Hornets really want a difference maker in the paint who isn't a complete albatross on offense like Biz, Hassan Whiteside is set to be a free agent. The question then becomes A. Is it worth the money that Whiteside is going to command, B. Do you take that chance on a late-blooming prospect who was in Lebanon before his good year with the Heat and has shown to be a bit of a head case and C. Is it worth sacrificing that Batum extension to get a player like Whiteside here?

Bottom line, the team got out-worked from the tip. It was almost like they knew they had to play a perfect game to win and were so cognizant of that they forgot to just play their game. Missing open shots, hero ball, and getting out worked on the defensive end.

But if you're passing judgment on any team this season in comparison to the Warriors, they will all look bad. GS is that good.
